We are heading to the "Walleye Capital of the World" on NEW YEAR'S WEEKEND to ring in the 2022! Join us at Zipple Bay Resort for a weekend full of ice fishing! We will be staying in custom fish houses, each of which is equipped with twin-sized bunks, gas, lights, extra battery-powered lights, a heater, two stove top burners, a table, chairs, rattle reels, and each house has their own clean walkway to the bathroom right outside their unit, checked daily by resort staff. Meals are not included in this weekend trip. In the past, shackmates have coordinated meals together for the weekend. Feel free to bring board games, card games, and beverages of your choice. Zipple Bay Resort offers showers, laundry, and fish cleaning house access on shore for you to use at any time.
Plan to arrive Friday, December 31 at noon, which is when we will head out to our shacks for an action packed weekend of fishing. Depending on ice conditions, we will either be carpooling with other shackmates or the resort will be taking us out on the ice with their transportation. Inside our cabin-like ice houses, the holes will already be pre-drilled and ready for fishing either with your own poles or rattle reels provided by the guides. The guides will provide bait but will not be providing any rods, reels, or tackle. However, if this is something you do not have, we will ensure you have some. You can rent Vexilars (fish finding equipment) from the resort, but it is not necessary. Saturday, weather permitting, we will be drilling more holes to fish and hang out outdoors with our new friends - be sure to bring warm clothing!! Saturday night we will have a group potluck. Everyone is responsible for providing a dish or beverage to share. On Sunday, plan on departing around noon to head back home.
We are able to offer this trip at $375 for the weekend, divided into the following payments:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: PLEASE MAKE ALL PAYMENTS BY THEIR DUE DATES. IF PAYMENTS ARE LATE WE WILL ALWAYS WORK WITH YOU. HOWEVER, IF THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION WE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE FORFEITING YOUR SPOT AND ANY PAYMENTS MADE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. WE WILL THEN REACH OUT TO OUR WAITLIST AND GET YOUR SPOT FILLED BY ANOTHER PARTY. BY REGISTERING FOR ANY HER WILDERNESS TRIP YOU ARE UNDER THE FULL UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. (We are able to offer a partial refund only if we fill your spot with a member on the waiting list. At that time we may be able to refund any additional payments made outside of your deposit. Your deposit is NOT refundable. If your spot does not get filled, we will not be able to offer a refund on payments.)
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Minnesota angling license, which can be purchased here.
AIRPORTS: Falls International Airport (89.1 miles or one hour and thirty-four minutes away) or Duluth International Airport (229 miles or about four hours away).
