Who Can Attend a Her Wilderness Trip or Event?
Any WOMAN can join a Her Wilderness trip! We welcome participants from all walks of life and all experience levels, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned adventurer. Our trips are designed to encourage bonding and connection. While we typically don't host formal educational classes, we’re happy to provide guidance and information. Come ready to ask questions—this is a judgment-free zone where we can all learn together!
Can I Attend a Trip by Myself?
Absolutely! Many of our members attend events solo and leave with lifelong friendships. We encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and meet other women who share your interests.
How Do You Sign Up for a Trip?
You can view all upcoming trips on our website and register for the one that interests you most. After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email within a day or so from one of our trip coordinators, who will be your point of contact. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
Where Are These Trips Located?
We host events across the nation and have just started exploring international travel options this past year. If you don’t see an adventure in your area that you’d like us to consider, please let us know at questions@herwilderness.co.
How Much Does It Cost to Attend a Trip?
Trip costs can range from FREE to $3,000 or more, depending on the length, activities, and intensity. For more expensive trips, we offer payment plans. We collaborate closely with guides and locations to provide the best value for our members.
Does It Cost Anything to Be a Her Wilderness Member?
Currently, there’s no fee to become a member of Her Wilderness. To join, simply request to join our Community Facebook Page, where we share the latest trips and news. We also recommend subscribing to our email list for exclusive updates (scroll to the bottom of the webpage to sign up).
What Should I Bring on a Trip?
We intentionally schedule two virtual calls before your trip to facilitate group communication. You’ll receive several updates from your dedicated trip coordinator to help you prepare for your upcoming adventure. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to your coordinator at any time, or contact us at questions@herwilderness.co for additional assistance!
Can I Get a Refund If I Can’t Attend a Trip or Event?
Please note: by registering for a trip, you acknowledge that all deposits are non-refundable. We can only offer a refund for additional payments made if we fill your spot with another attendee, up to 30 days before the trip. If you cancel within 30 days, there will be no refunds. Refunds will incur a 4% merchant fee. You will not receive your refund until after the trip has concluded.
What If I Make a Late Payment?
You have five days after a payment is due to submit payment or request an extension in writing. After that, we’ll assume you are not attending and will move on to our waitlist to fill your spot. You will not receive a refund. For any payment-related questions, contact us at questions@herwilderness.co.
What Should I Do If a Trip Is Sold Out?
Join our waitlist! If a trip you’re interested in is sold out, please email questions@herwilderness.co. We often have last-minute openings, and being on the waitlist is the best way to secure a spot.
Can I Bring My Dog?
Currently, we partner with guide services that provide their own dogs. If you have a specific request, please reach out to us, and we’ll try to accommodate it on a case-by-case basis.
No Drama Policy!
Our community is filled with fun, easygoing individuals. We pride ourselves on maintaining a positive atmosphere, even in challenging situations. If you tend to be “high maintenance” or easily stressed, our trips may not be the best fit for you. Please be aware that you might share accommodations, face unexpected weather, or encounter other real-life scenarios. We aim to keep our events drama-free, and if any drama arises, we will ask the source to leave without a refund. We value everyone’s experience and ask that all attendees maintain a welcoming and positive attitude.
Can I Bring My Kids?
Children under 15 should explore events hosted by Little Wilderness. Most of our trips welcome children over 15, but please confirm with the trip coordinator before registering.
Do You Cover Travel Expenses?
No, the trip cost covers your guided hunting or fishing experience and lodging, where applicable. It does not include food, airfare, gas, or other travel expenses to the main meeting location unless stated otherwise.
