TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are heading to Baraboo, WI to soak up a weekend outdoors, hiking and camping! We will set up camp inside of Wisconsin’s most popular state park, Devil’s Lake! While we will plan to do two different hikes, we will also have free time with a variety of options! Saturday afternoon, free time can be spent hiking more, beaching it or renting kayaks/paddle boards. There are several local restaurants, wineries and distilleries that we plan to check out on Saturday night. Either a WI state park or National Park pass is required per vehicle parking inside of the campground, this pass is no included on the trip. This trip will accommodate 8 women, giving everyone a chance to get to know one another and not crowd the trails. If you are worried or hesitant because you’ve never hiked before, set your worries aside! The hikes will be planned for all experience levels and can be adjusted accordingly. Plan to arrive anytime after 5 P.M. , on Friday. Prepare to leave Sunday late morning.
LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
We are hiking around Devil's Lake State Park! We will depart on a hike Saturday morning to the top of the bluff and eat our lunch trailside before returning. Sunday morning’s hike will be shorter to allow time to pack up and depart. One WI State Park or National Park pass is required per vehicle. We will have Saturday afternoon free to hangout at the beach, explore Baraboo, or do more hiking! We will be tent camping at one of the three campgrounds at Devil’s Lake State park. Not everyone will need to bring their own tent, once you are registered we will work as a group to put together a packing list and assign all of the camping items as needed. This means you will likely have to share a tent with others, unless you bring a tent for yourself, that is up to you! Everyone will be responsible for bringing their own sleeping bag/pillow. The site has a campfire, where we will cook Friday night’s dinner over the fire together, we will have a light breakfast Saturday morning and a sack lunch which will all be included in the cost of this trip. We will be going out to enjoy some local cuisine on Saturday night and that is not included in the cost of this trip. If you have dietary restrictions please let us know with plenty of heads up or plan to bring your own meals! There are pit toilets and showers in walking distance from the site.

Things not included in this trip:
-Any tips to your guides/outfitters - please wait to hear from your coordinator on a suggested tipping amount and plan to always bring cash for tipping. Tipping doesn’t apply to all trips.
-Transportation. Your airline or rental car is not included. Please do not expect to arrive at the airport and have a ride unless specifically planned out with someone.. We suggest that you wait to book any travel plans until you’ve talked with other girls going on the trip. Chances are other people are also flying/driving in and you will be able to coordinate plans with them. It is always cheaper to split a rental car 4 ways!
TRIP REGISTRATION AND CONTACT INFORMATION
Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to a private facebook group for this specific trip. This group is where you can connect with other trip attendees, ask your trip coordinator questions, and receive additional trip details. You can discuss packing lists, travel plans, and more. Please be sure you use a valid working email to register for this trip. If you do not have a facebook account please send an email to questions@herwilderness.co so that we can make the appropriate accommodations to get you additional trip details. Please read carefully: please make all payments by their due dates. If payments are late we will always work with you. however if there is no communication we will assume you are forfeiting your spot and any payments made will not be refunded. By registering for any wilderness trip you are under the full understanding that there are no refunds. by registering for this trip you understand that your deposit is non-refundable with no exceptions.
