Plan to arrive anytime after 4P.M. , on Thursday evening and depart in the morning on Sunday by 10A.M.
We are heading to The Outer Banks (OBX) specifically Nags Head, North Carolina for an epic weekend of offshore fishing! This will be a trip to remember as we are targeting unique salt water species with an emphasis on Mahi Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna! You will also have the chance to take aim at other species including wahoo and billfish. Our guides will graciously provide all the equipment needed for this trip, all you have to do is bring your favorite snacks and drinks! No fishing license is required! 6 ladies will be riding along with Captain William and Mate Will on the Drifter
The DRIFTER
You will ride in style and comfort on the 57ft custom built sport-fisher for 2 full days filled with fish and fun!
If you are worried or hesitant because you’ve never tried this before, set your worries aside! Captain William and Mate Will, will guide you, so you are able to get the fish in the boat in no time! They truly take pride in creating a memorable sportfishing trip for all!
LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC.
We will be spending our evenings in an secluded waterfront sanctuary about 20 minutes from the fishing center where we will depart for our trip. The home is only a 20-minute drive to the beach, popular Jennettes Pier in Nags Head, NC Aquarium, Alligator River National Wildlfe refuge, and many more attractions and dining. You may have to share a bed at this specific location, please be open minded to your sleeping arrangements for the weekend! This specific airbnb has 1 king bed, 2 queen bed and 1 full bed. We will have 6 people attending this trip.

4 bedrooms, 4 beds, 2 baths. Hidden waterfront gem that is a relaxing sanctuary away from all the hubbub. Close to bear and duck hunting and the best fishing in the world. Perfect for the sportsman and his lady. Designer decorated to embody the true outer banks lifestyle. Enjoy the sunrise over the Croatan Sound, fishing on the dock, kayaking, bear watching all near by. The back porch is an oasis with relaxing seating and outdoor dinning under the shade of the live oak trees.
The space - All the comforts of home with a fully stocked kitchen, quality linens and smart TV's in the Living room and master bedroom. Relax by the fireplace in the living room while watching the ducks land in the sound. With a state boat ramp less that a mile, it makes it very convenient to bring your boat and dock behind the house for a fisherman's paradise. The house is a refuge of sorts bringing comfort and peace.
TARGET SPECIES, REGULATIONS AND PROCESSING OF TAXIDERMY OR MEAT HARVEST PLAN.
Our target species will be Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Billfish. Depending on species, estimate 0.45 per lb to clean fish. After the fish is cleaned, you can package yourself to take home or work with a local fish packer to assist!

We are able to offer this weekend at $1,300. This will broken down into 1 NON REFUNDABLE deposit of $400 and 3 affordable payments of $300. The non refundable deposit will be due at registration and the payment breakdown is as follows:

It’s always a good idea to book your flight after joining the facebook group! That way you are able to communicate with others attending the trip to book your flights in sync and split rental car or Uber cost.

MEET LAUREN! Some of you may recognize her from past Her Wilderness trips such as, The Iguana & Sandhill Crane hunt. Lauren is originally from Duplin County, NC and currently resides in Manteo, NC as a Data Analyst. Some of her favorite memories outdoors are hunting in Stuttgart, Arkansas and ending that trip in Nashville for New Years. Another one was a Swan Hunt that ended in a harvest, waterfowl banquet, and amazing memories with her late Uncle who meant the world to her. Outside of trips, we’re truly excited for Lauren to promote more social meet ups, educational events like decoy carving classes, and establish life long friendships across the nation! Lauren is so excited to meet you and can’t wait to share these once in a lifetime adventures with you!

CAN I ATTEND A TRIP BY MYSELF?
Yes! Many of our members attend Her Wilderness event by themselves, and leave feeling like they have made new life long friends. This is a huge part of why we do what we do. We highly encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, come meet some new women who love the same things you do.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO BRING ON A TRIP?
For each trip, we will create a private group with every member attending to use as the main form of communication. One week before the respective trip we will post in the individual trip’s Facebook group a “what to pack” list that will include information that we think will be helpful. Remember, this may not include everything you need for your specific style of hunting and fishing. It’s always a good idea to do your own research. We encourage you to reach out via email if you have any additional questions on what to bring. questions@herwilderness.co
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CAN’T ATTEND A TRIP OR EVENT?
By registering for a trip, you check that you understand that there are NO refunds on your deposit. We may be able to offer a partial refund on additional payments made if we fill your spot with another attendee and the trip is completely filled. Your deposit will not be refunded even if your spot is filled.
DO HER WILDERNESS TRIPS INCLUDE A TIP?
No. As of January 1st, 2022 we no longer include a tip to our guides on our trips. We don’t always know how each person is feeling towards their experience and we want everyone to be in control of what they tip. Please be prepared to bring additional funds to give your guides a tip!
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF A TRIP IS SOLD OUT?
JOIN OUR WAIT LIST! If a trip you’re interested in is sold out and you’d like to be placed on the wait list, email questions@herwilderness.co. We almost ALWAYS have last minute spots open, and being on the wait list is the best way to snag them before we post them on social media.
