Shark fishing anyone!? We are heading to Pensacola Beach with our friends over at Gulf Coast Nation for our first ever BEACH SHARK FISHING trip! Shark fishing is unlike any other fishing you’ve done before. The bite is unpredictable and the fight is unforgettable. We will be targeting great whites, tiger sharks, and mako sharks from shore. You will be able to get up close and personal with all of your catches! We will have a large canopy with three side walls to hang out in during our time on the beach along with food, music, and action-packed shark fishing all day long! When fishing with the Gulf Coast Nation crew you can expect:

No Boats = No Seasickness! Fishing from the beach has many pros, but a big one is we can guarantee no one is getting sea sick this trip!

Fish for the Entire Trip! We will have everything setup and ready to go before you get there! That way you and your group will be fishing for the entire  trip, unlike charter boats where trip time can be eaten up with long boat rides.

Comfort and Style. Hitting the beach with us means things like comfortable zero gravity chairs, music, free soft drinks, and the option for add-ons such as the grill or video package.

Top of the Line Gear! Some shore based companies cut corners here, which can result in losing big fish! We run only the best gear for our clients so we have the chance to stop any shark you hook! Even those 1000 pounders!

Professional and Safe. Having shark fished for many years, GCN is effective and takes safety very seriously when handling sharks with clients! We ensure a great experience for you and a safe release for the sharks!

ARE WE GUARANTEED TO CATCH A SHARK? Unfortunately, this is something GCN cannot guarantee, after all, it is still fishing! HOWEVER, they do run multiple rods and work very hard to make our experience the best possible!

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? GCN is constantly monitoring weather and surf conditions. The first priority is safety for both our group and our guides, who will be kayaking in the ocean with shark bait. The Gulf claims many lives each year and we want everyone safe. If we deem the waters unsafe we will try to reschedule or cancel!

The cost of this trip will be $495, which will include four total days, three nights of lodging at our gulf front Airbnb, two 12-hour days of guided shark fishing, and a tip to our guides! Plan to arrive the evening of Thursday, January 27 to our Airbnb to meet and hangout the night before fishing. We will wake up Friday and Saturday morning to fish for twelve hours. After that, you can plan to extend your vacation or head home sometime in the morning on Sunday, January 30! YOU MAY HAVE TO SHARE A BED ON THIS TRIP, PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR ROOMMATES FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THIS TRIP. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO SO, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER.

The total cost of this trip is $495. We only have 15 spots available for this trip and it will fill up fast so make sure to snag your spot today!

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: A 3-day Florida saltwater angling license is required to join this trip, which can be purchased here. We will also be required to take the Shark Smart educational course in order to obtain a free shark fishing permit. That course and permit can be found here.

AIRPORTS: The closest airport to fly into this trip is Pensacola International Airport. Pensacola has its own commercial airport in the city limits – Pensacola International Airport. Pensacola International claims to be the largest airport between New Orleans and Jacksonville, Florida.

Fort Walton Beach is one hour east of Pensacola and is the location of the Northwest Florida Regional Airport, which is actually on the grounds of Eglin Air Force Base. The airport and the base are in the city of Fort Walton. Flying into Fort Walton is a good option for those traveling to the Pensacola area if a flight isn't available into Pensacola International. Many of the airlines flying into Pensacola also fly into Fort Walton. Be prepared for a long ride on the tarmac after landing, because the runways for commercial flights on the base are quite a distance from the terminal. So, sit back and enjoy the sights of an active Air Force base as the plane taxis to the gate.

Mobile Regional Airport in Alabama is about an hour's drive from northwest Pensacola. The airport is served by some of the same airlines serving the Pensacola and Fort Walton airports, providing travelers with even more flight options. Renting a car at Mobile Regional, it's an easy drive on Interstate 10 into the Pensacola area. But Mobile is a port city on Mobile Bay, full of historic sites and a revitalized downtown area worthy of exploration.

This is going to be a trip of a lifetime and we'd love to have you join us! Email mackenzie@herwilderness.co with any questions!
