This is Costa Rica through the Her Wilderness lens: equal parts adventure, relaxation, luxury, and connection. With only six participant spots available, this is one of our most intimate international experiences. For five nights, we'll call the prestigious Los Sueños Resort home. Our group will stay in a stunning four bedroom tropical condominium designed for comfort, connection, and relaxation. Costa Rica is considered one of the world's premier sportfishing destinations, and you'll experience it with some of the best crews in Central America. We'll spend two unforgettable days offshore pursuing whatever the Pacific has in store. Depending on conditions and seasonal patterns, species may include:

Whether you're an experienced angler or trying offshore fishing for the very first time, the crews will coach, encourage, and celebrate every fish caught along the way. These are the moments you'll remember forever.

Free day excursions (optional)

Want to make the most of your time in Costa Rica? During your free days, you'll have the opportunity to add on these unforgettable experiences at an additional cost. Participation is completely optional, giving you the flexibility to relax at the resort or continue exploring all that Costa Rica has to offer.

Nauyaca Waterfall Adventure

Often considered one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in Costa Rica, Nauyaca feels like stepping into a scene straight out of a movie. Hidden deep within the rainforest, these stunning cascading falls offer an experience you'll never forget. Choose the journey that best fits your adventure style. Reach the falls by hiking through the lush jungle. Once you arrive, you'll have time to swim beneath the falls, take photos, explore the surrounding landscape, and soak in the cool mist and incredible beauty of this natural wonder. Additional $150/per person.

Catamaran Island Cruise

Trade your hiking boots for bare feet and spend the day exploring Costa Rica's spectacular coastline aboard a luxury catamaran. This laid back tropical experience includes:

• Light breakfast served onboard

• Soft drinks and water throughout the day

• Jungle Juice and margaritas served on the island

• Buffet lunch featuring grilled chicken, spring rice, sautéed potatoes, and fresh salads

Arrival Day

Arrive in Costa Rica and make your way to Los Sueños Resort. Settle into our beautiful accommodations, meet your fellow Her Wilderness travelers, explore the resort, and enjoy a relaxed evening together.

Wednesday, April 21

Free Day

Enjoy Los Sueños Resort at your own pace. Relax by the pool, explore the marina, visit the Beach Club, or choose an optional add-on excursion.

Thursday, April 22

Fishing Day #1

Head offshore for a full day of fishing on the Pacific. Spend the day chasing incredible Costa Rican sportfish with an experienced crew, then return to the resort for a relaxing evening.

Friday, April 23

Free Day

Take the day to unwind, enjoy the resort amenities, book an optional activity, or simply soak in the sunshine and slower pace of Costa Rica.

Saturday, April 24

Fishing Day #2

Enjoy your second full day offshore fishing. Celebrate the day’s catches, share stories with the group, and enjoy your final evening together at Los Sueños.

No experience necessary, we guide you through everything. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to do something bold, beautiful, and unforgettable… this is it. Costa Rica is calling, and we can’t wait to experience it with you.

AIRPORT + TRAVEL

The nearest major international airport to Jacó, Costa Rica is Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José. It’s approximately a 90-minute scenic drive from the coast to our lodging for the weekend. To make travel simple and stress-free, this trip includes a private driver for our group for the entire duration of the experience, from airport pickup to daily transportation and your return to San José on departure day. You can relax and enjoy the journey while we handle every detail. Your airfare is NOT included on this trip. We recommend waiting to book your flight until the full group has joined this trip’s private Facebook/WhatsApp thread. This helps everyone coordinate arrivals and departures, share ride options, and keep travel plans aligned. Once the group is set, we’ll post suggested arrival/departure windows so you can book confidently and travel smoothly with the other women. Round-trip airport transfers from SJO are included when arriving and departing within the recommended group travel windows. Private transfers due to delays or separate arrival/departure times outside of those windows may be arranged at the participant's expense.

We are able to offer this weekend at only $2,900 USD per person, which will include a nonrefundable deposit of $400 and 5 additional payment of $500. Please read carefully: All payments must be made by their due dates. If you anticipate a delay, we encourage you to communicate with us, and we will do our best to work with you. However, if payments are overdue and we have not heard from you, we will assume you are forfeiting your spot, and any payments made will not be refunded. LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS

All lodging is thoughtfully selected to provide a comfortable, welcoming environment that encourages rest, connection, and community. Accommodations typically include shared bedrooms, shared bathrooms, and communal living spaces that allow guests to gather, socialize, and unwind. Please note that room and bed sharing may be required depending on the trip structure. Specific lodging information will be provided by your trip coordinator once your group is finalized, along with packing suggestions and expectations to ensure you feel fully prepared.

EXPECTATIONS + GROUP CULTURE

Outdoor travel requires flexibility. Weather conditions, guide recommendations, and environmental factors may lead to schedule adjustments, activity changes, or alternate species pursuits. These decisions are made with safety, conservation, and experience quality in mind. Her Wilderness maintains a strong, positive group culture. We are committed to a drama-free environment built on mutual respect, encouragement, and professionalism. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior toward participants, staff, or guides will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the trip without refund.

Travel insurance

If you are planning to purchase travel insurance for your Her Wilderness trip, PLEASE purchase it NOW and do not wait until right before departure. Many travel insurance policies require coverage to be purchased within just a few days of your initial trip registration or first payment in order to qualify for the best and most comprehensive coverage options. Waiting too long can limit what is covered or completely remove eligibility for certain protections.

We highly encourage ALL Her Wilderness participants to purchase travel insurance shortly after registering for a trip. Ideally, travel insurance should be purchased within just a few days of booking in order to maximize your coverage options and help protect your investment.

Travel insurance can help provide protection for things such as:

• Flight cancellations or delays

• Lost or delayed baggage

• Rental car issues

• Unexpected medical emergencies

• Additional lodging expenses caused by travel disruptions

• Trip interruptions or cancellations

• Weather related delays

• Emergency transportation needs

While we sincerely hope every trip goes perfectly smoothly, travel is unpredictable and unexpected situations can happen. Having travel insurance in place can provide peace of mind and financial protection should something outside of your control arise before or during your adventure.

REGISTRATION & COMMUNICATION

All registrations are completed through the WeTravel platform, where you will receive confirmation and payment management support. After booking, your coordinator will contact you with next steps, access to your private trip group, and invitations to scheduled virtual meetings. To ensure communication is efficient and organized, coordinators will provide their preferred contact method and will not communicate through personal social media accounts.
