OUR IDEAL ITINERARY
Please note this itinerary is flexible and may shift based on weather, road conditions, trail access, tides, group energy levels, and overall trip flow. One of the best parts of Olympic National Park is embracing the spontaneity and adventure that comes with exploring the Pacific Northwest.
DAY 1 | ARRIVE IN SEATTLE + BEGIN THE ADVENTURE
Arrive into Seattle before noon as we begin our scenic drive toward Olympic National Park. Along the way we may stop at alpine lakes, scenic overlooks, waterfalls, and cozy mountain lodges before settling into our first forest retreat stay near Sol Duc. Depending on timing and weather, highlights may include Lake Crescent, Marymere Falls, Hurricane Ridge, Sol Duc Falls, and relaxing in natural hot springs surrounded by towering evergreens.
After a full day of travel and exploring, we will settle into our cozy forest lodging for the evening where everyone can relax, unpack, and soak in the excitement of the week ahead.
DAY 2 | RUGGED COASTLINES + LA PUSH
Today we head toward the iconic Washington coastline where dramatic beaches, crashing waves, driftwood covered shorelines, and towering sea stacks create some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Pacific Northwest. Depending on tides and conditions, we may explore Rialto Beach, Second Beach, Hole in the Wall, tide pools, coastal trails, and sunset views along the Pacific Ocean before returning to our cozy coastal lodging for the evening.

• Spruce Nature Trail
• Hoh River viewpoints
• Scenic rainforest drives and overlooks
• Additional hidden trails and quiet forest stops throughout the regionThis day is intentionally slower paced and immersive, allowing time to truly experience the beauty and peacefulness of the rainforest. We may end the evening with a cozy beach bonfire, sunset picnic, or relaxing coastal evening depending on conditions and group interest.

Tonight we will settle into another cozy coastal or forest retreat stay surrounded by towering evergreens and ocean air.

Travel insurance
If you are planning to purchase travel insurance for your Her Wilderness trip, PLEASE purchase it NOW and do not wait until right before departure. Many travel insurance policies require coverage to be purchased within just a few days of your initial trip registration or first payment in order to qualify for the best and most comprehensive coverage options. Waiting too long can limit what is covered or completely remove eligibility for certain protections.
We highly encourage ALL Her Wilderness participants to purchase travel insurance shortly after registering for a trip. Ideally, travel insurance should be purchased within just a few days of booking in order to maximize your coverage options and help protect your investment.
Travel insurance can help provide protection for things such as:
• Flight cancellations or delays
• Lost or delayed baggage
• Rental car issues
• Unexpected medical emergencies
• Additional lodging expenses caused by travel disruptions
• Trip interruptions or cancellations
• Weather related delays
• Emergency transportation needs
While we sincerely hope every trip goes perfectly smoothly, travel is unpredictable and unexpected situations can happen. Having travel insurance in place can provide peace of mind and financial protection should something outside of your control arise before or during your adventure.
REGISTRATION & COMMUNICATION
All registrations are completed through the WeTravel platform, where you will receive confirmation and payment management support. After booking, your coordinator will contact you with next steps, access to your private trip group, and invitations to scheduled virtual meetings. To ensure communication is efficient and organized, coordinators will provide their preferred contact method and will not communicate through personal social media accounts.
