MEET YOUR COORDINATOR

MEET LAUREN! Some of you may recognize her from past Her Wilderness trips such as, The Iguana & Sandhill Crane hunt. Lauren is originally from Duplin County, NC and currently resides in Manteo, NC as a Data Analyst. Some of her favorite memories outdoors are hunting in Stuttgart, Arkansas and ending that trip in Nashville for New Years. Another one was a Swan Hunt that ended in a harvest, waterfowl banquet, and amazing memories with her late Uncle who meant the world to her. Outside of trips, we’re truly excited for Lauren to promote more social meet ups, educational events like decoy carving classes, and establish life long friendships across the nation! Lauren is so excited to meet you and can’t wait to share these once in a lifetime adventures with you!

FAQ’S AND POLICY

Yes, this is the boring part. BUT it’s important. We ask each person who registers for a trip to go and visit the FAQs and Policy page of our website. If you register for a trip before reading this information that is on you! There is a lot of great info found there that may or may not sway your decision. Please check out all of our FAQs + Policy page on our website BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR A TRIP WITH US! Thank you!

EXPECTATIONS + NO DRAMA POLICY

There are times that our trips do not go exactly as planned. Mother nature plays a large role in how we are able to spend time outdoors. We ask that you come into every single Her Wilderness trip with a positive attitude and “go with the flow” mindset for the duration of your trip. If that seems unreasonable, we kindly ask that you do not register for our events. The weather is unpredictable and can impact hiking, hunting, fishing, and our number #1 priority, your safety! For example, if your trip is geared towards hunting ducks, but right now the guide can only confidently offer a successful goose hunt, we will go with the guide's recommendation. If a situation like this will upset you then please do not register for a trip with us. We expect every woman to have a positive attitude no matter the circumstances. We have had plenty of trips get canceled, rescheduled or have plans changed with no issues simply because the group was understanding and made the best of the situation they were given. We pride ourselves in how fun our trips can be even in the most unfortunate of circumstances. If you are often considered “high maintenance” or tend to get stressed out then we kindly want to let you know that our trips are not a good fit for you. You may have to share a bed with a stranger, the weather may not allow us to participate in an activity, there may not be any showers available, there may only be 1 bathroom for 10 women, you may not harvest the animal you wanted to get, there could be someone on the trip that you just don’t vibe with. All of these scenarios are real and they happen. We will do our best to filter and prevent what we can before it becomes an issue. All of our trips and events are a drama and stress free zone! If you are the source of any drama you will be asked to leave with no refund given and you will not be welcome back. We always want to ensure that our customers are comfortable and taken care of. We will always ask that you have a cool, calm and collected attitude. If you are unable to maintain a good attitude in a variety of circumstances we ask that you refrain from registering for a trip. We appreciate each and everyone of our customers and want to ensure the best experience for all of our attendees!

TRIP REGISTRATION AND CONTACT INFORMATION

A NEW WAY TO REGISTER! We’re excited to introduce a new booking and payment system designed to simplify your experience! As of 10/01/24 this new system, WeTravel, is in effect for all trip registrations. Upon registration you will receive a confirmation email via the WeTravel booking platform. Your trip coordinator will reach out to you with detailed information regarding your trip and will set up 2 virtual video meetings with everyone attending the trip. They will share their email and other contact information with you at their discretion, please be respectful of your coordinator and reach out to them only via the contact information they have shared with you. A friendly reminder that personal social media profiles are not the best way to get in touch with your coordinator. Your coordinator will communicate with you and all other trip attendees to set up 2 virtual meeting times with Google Meets. You will discuss packing lists, travel plans, and more. Please be sure you use a valid working email to register for this trip so that they can contact you. Please feel free to email questions@herwilderness.co with any questions or if you need any assistance with this trip!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN I ATTEND A TRIP BY MYSELF?

Yes! Many of our members attend Her Wilderness event by themselves, and leave feeling like they have made new life long friends. This is a huge part of why we do what we do. We highly encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, come meet some new women who love the same things you do.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO BRING ON A TRIP?

For each trip, we will create a private group with every member attending to use as the main form of communication. One week before the respective trip we will post in the individual trip’s Facebook group a “what to pack” list that will include information that we think will be helpful. Remember, this may not include everything you need for your specific style of hunting and fishing. It’s always a good idea to do your own research. We encourage you to reach out via email if you have any additional questions on what to bring. questions@herwilderness.co

DO HER WILDERNESS TRIPS INCLUDE A TIP?

No. As of January 1st, 2022 we no longer include a tip to our guides on our trips. We don’t always know how each person is feeling towards their experience and we want everyone to be in control of what they tip. Please be prepared to bring additional funds to give your guides a tip!

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF A TRIP IS SOLD OUT?

JOIN OUR WAIT LIST! If a trip you’re interested in is sold out and you’d like to be placed on the wait list, email questions@herwilderness.co. We almost ALWAYS have last minute spots open, and being on the wait list is the best way to snag them before we post them on social media.

These are just a few frequently asked questions and we have many more located on our FAQ’s page. If you have never attended a trip with us before we highly recommend clicking the button below to gather more information before registering!
