TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION

Pack your bags and get ready for a weekend of adventures in the winter wonderland that is Jackson Hole! In the shadows of the Teton Mountain Range, this weekend will be jam-packed with winter activities that include dog sledding, snowshoeing in Grand Teton National Park, and a sleigh ride on the National Elk Refuge. Just one of these activities is reason enough to visit Jackson Hole in the winter, but we’ve made sure that this weekend combines some of Jackson’s most iconic activities.
This weekend, a group of Her Wilderness women will do a variety of activities that provide an immersive and authentic Wyoming winter experience. After arriving on Friday afternoon, attendees will have a chance to settle in at our downtown accommodations while getting to know one another. Together, we will enjoy dinner at one of Jackson’s many delicious restaurants. Then, on Saturday, we will gain some elevation (and incredible views) during a scenic gondola ride at Snow King Mountain Resort. This gondola ride provides a birds-eye view of the town of Jackson and the surrounding mountain ranges. Next up, we’ll head to Teton Village for a one-hour dog sledding tour. Finally, we’ll find some rejuvenation at Astoria Hot Springs Park. This first full day will feature a variety of views of Jackson Hole and its stunning winter landscapes.
On Sunday, we’ll check out of our accommodations before heading to the National Elk Refuge for a sleigh ride. The National Elk Refuge is home to thousands of wintering elk each winter, and because the animals are accustomed to the sleighs, the sleigh ride allows visitors to get especially close to these herds. But our day doesn’t end there–next we’ll drive into Grand Teton National Park. The national park is mostly closed during the winter, but a few winter trails are open to snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. With rental snowshoes in-hand, we’ll decide on a trail to snowshoe and enjoy many picturesque moments throughout the afternoon. Once we’ve finished snowshoeing, it will be time to depart, but expect to conclude this weekend with many pictures and lifelong memories!
LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
Included in the cost of this trip is two nights of lodging in a cozy Airbnb near downtown Jackson. Our home base for the weekend, the space is warmly decorated, but the biggest amenity is its location–which will provide our group easy access to the local restaurant scene and all of our activities. On average, we will be commuting 20-30 minutes to each of our activities. The bedrooms have double beds, so each woman will be expected to share a bed with another attendee–please be prepared for that. We will need to check out of the Airbnb Sunday morning, but luggage and personal belongings can be stored at Sam’s house while we’re adventuring on Sunday. Be prepared to depart Jackson Hole Sunday evening after snowshoeing.

FAQ’S AND POLICY
Yes, this is the boring part. BUT it’s important. We ask each person who registers for a trip to go and visit the FAQs and Policy page of our website. If you register for a trip before reading this information that is on you! There is a lot of great info found there that may or may not sway your decision. Please check out all of our FAQs + Policy page on our website BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR A TRIP WITH US! Thank you!
EXPECTATIONS + NO DRAMA POLICY
There are times that our trips do not go exactly as planned. Mother nature plays a large role in how we are able to spend time outdoors. We ask that you come into every single Her Wilderness trip with a positive attitude and “go with the flow” mindset for the duration of your trip. If that seems unreasonable, we kindly ask that you do not register for our events. The weather is unpredictable and can impact hiking, hunting, fishing, and our number #1 priority, your safety! For example, if your trip is geared towards hunting ducks, but right now the guide can only confidently offer a successful goose hunt, we will go with the guide's recommendation. If a situation like this will upset you then please do not register for a trip with us. We expect every woman to have a positive attitude no matter the circumstances. We have had plenty of trips get canceled, rescheduled or have plans changed with no issues simply because the group was understanding and made the best of the situation they were given. We pride ourselves in how fun our trips can be even in the most unfortunate of circumstances. If you are often considered “high maintenance” or tend to get stressed out then we kindly want to let you know that our trips are not a good fit for you. You may have to share a bed with a stranger, the weather may not allow us to participate in an activity, there may not be any showers available, there may only be 1 bathroom for 10 women, you may not harvest the animal you wanted to get, there could be someone on the trip that you just don’t vibe with. All of these scenarios are real and they happen. We will do our best to filter and prevent what we can before it becomes an issue. All of our trips and events are a drama and stress free zone! If you are the source of any drama you will be asked to leave with no refund given and you will not be welcome back. We always want to ensure that our customers are comfortable and taken care of. We will always ask that you have a cool, calm and collected attitude. If you are unable to maintain a good attitude in a variety of circumstances we ask that you refrain from registering for a trip. We appreciate each and everyone of our customers and want to ensure the best experience for all of our attendees!
