TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION

Get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime hunting experience in the heart of Florida, as we head to Gainesville for an exciting weekend of Osceola Turkey hunting! Known for their elusive nature, Osceola turkeys are a bucket-list species for many hunters, and you'll have the chance to harvest one of these incredible birds in the swamps of Central Florida. Our expert guides will lead you on a thrilling hunt, scouting and calling in the birds, and providing an unforgettable experience.

This exclusive trip is designed for just 4 women, ensuring a personalized hunting experience with one-on-one guidance from your dedicated guide. Whether you're an experienced hunter or trying this for the first time, you’ll be in great hands with our skilled team, who will make sure you have an amazing time.

The hunt will take place over three days—Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday—with early morning hunts each day. If you haven’t harvested your turkey by the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity for a second hunt. The trip includes one bird per person, so you’ll have a chance to bring home a prized Osceola turkey!

Target Species, Regulations + Taxidermy

We’ll be hunting Osceola turkeys—unique to Florida and found only in the central and southern parts of the state. This rare and beautiful bird is highly coveted by hunters across the country. We will follow Florida’s regulations, which allow one Osceola turkey per person on this trip.

After the hunt, our guides will assist with cleaning your turkey, and if you’d like, you can bring your bird home to be mounted as a trophy. If you're flying, we’ll freeze the meat so you can carry it on or check it in your luggage. Alternatively, we can arrange to have it shipped home. Be sure to bring extra trash bags for storing the meat if you're flying!

EXPECTATIONS + NO DRAMA POLICY

There are times that our trips do not go exactly as planned or advertised. Mother nature plays a large role in how we are able to spend time outdoors. We ask that you come into every single Her Wilderness trip with a positive attitude and “go with the flow” mindset for the duration of your trip. If that seems unreasonable, we kindly ask that you do not register for our events. The weather is unpredictable and can impact hiking, hunting, fishing, and our number #1 priority, your safety! For example, if your trip is geared towards hunting ducks, but right now the guide can only confidently offer a successful goose hunt, we will go with the guide's recommendation. If a situation like this will upset you then please do not register for a trip with us. We expect every woman to have a positive attitude no matter the circumstances. We have had plenty of trips get canceled, rescheduled or have plans changed with no issues simply because the group was understanding and made the best of the situation they were given. We pride ourselves in how fun our trips can be even in the most unfortunate of circumstances. If you are often considered “high maintenance” or tend to get stressed out then we kindly want to let you know that our trips are not a good fit for you. You may have to share a bed with a stranger, the weather may not allow us to participate in an activity, there may not be any showers available, there may only be 1 bathroom for 10 women, you may not harvest the animal you wanted to get, there could be someone on the trip that you just don’t vibe with. All of these scenarios are real and they happen. We will do our best to filter and prevent what we can before it becomes an issue. All of our trips and events are a drama and stress free zone! If you are the source of any drama you will be asked to leave with no refund given. We always want to ensure that our customers are comfortable and taken care of. We will always ask that you have a cool, calm and collected attitude. If you are unable to maintain a good attitude in a variety of circumstances we kindly ask that you refrain from registering for a trip. We appreciate each and everyone of our customers and want to ensure the best experience for all of our attendees!
