TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
Get ready for another thrilling adventure as we head back to the stunning Lantana, Florida, for our Iguana Hunt and Peacock Bass Fishing trip! After four fantastic years filled with fun and excitement, we just couldn’t resist repeating this unforgettable experience! During our trip, you’ll spend one exhilarating day chasing the invasive iguanas and another day fishing for the vibrant Peacock Bass in the beautiful freshwater. Our guide will provide all the necessary equipment to ensure your success in both hunting and fishing, but please remember that a Florida Freshwater Fishing License is required.
In addition to our main activities, the West Palm Beach area is packed with opportunities for adventure and relaxation. Enjoy a day at the beach soaking up the sun, go snorkeling, or indulge in some of the region’s finest dining options. You can also explore nearby national wildlife refuges for a taste of Florida’s natural beauty! This trip is designed for just 5 women, ensuring a personal and enriching experience for everyone. If you’re feeling hesitant because you’ve never tried hunting or fishing before, worry not! Our guide has been with us for three years and is dedicated to making this an amazing experience for all. Join us for an unforgettable weekend of coastal adventure, camaraderie, and bucket list experiences!
TARGET SPECIES, REGULATIONS AND PROCESSING OF TAXIDERMY OR MEAT HARVEST PLAN.
We are going to hunt the invasive iguana, a species not native to Florida that poses a threat to local wildlife. Throughout the afternoons, you’ll have free time to relax by the pool, grab lunch, or explore the vibrant sights of West Palm Beach. And don’t forget your swimsuit—there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the water! The following day, we’ll rise early to head out to go fishing for Peacock Bass. These striking fish are reminiscent of largemouth bass, featuring a golden hue with three distinctive black vertical bars that may fade with age, and a black spot surrounded by a yellow-gold halo on their caudal fin. If you’re interested, you can take home the iguana meat you catch, while the Peacock Bass is catch and release. If you’re flying, we can freeze the iguana meat for transport in your carry-on or checked luggage, or you can choose to ship it home. We recommend bringing extra Ziploc bags and trash bags to store the meat for travel. Get ready for an unforgettable experience filled with adventure and camaraderie!

EXPECTATIONS + NO DRAMA POLICY
We want to ensure that every trip with Her Wilderness is enjoyable and memorable, but we acknowledge that sometimes things don’t go as planned. Mother Nature has a significant impact on our outdoor adventures, so we encourage you to approach each trip with a positive attitude and a "go with the flow" mindset. If this feels unreasonable to you, we kindly ask that you reconsider registering for our events. Weather can be unpredictable, affecting activities like hiking, hunting, and fishing, and our top priority is always your safety. For instance, if your trip is focused on duck hunting but our guide believes a goose hunt is more feasible, we will follow their expert recommendation. If this kind of flexibility is not something you're comfortable with, we encourage you to think twice about joining us. We expect all participants to maintain a positive attitude, regardless of the circumstances. Many of our trips have faced changes, cancellations, or rescheduling, yet the understanding and adaptability of the group have made all the difference that still allows for an incredible experience! We take pride in creating fun experiences, even in challenging situations. Please be aware that our trips may involve sharing accommodations with others, unpredictable weather that could impact planned activities, limited bathroom facilities for larger groups, and the possibility of not harvesting the specific animal you hoped for. These are real scenarios that can arise, and while we’ll do our best to minimize issues, they can happen. We strive to maintain a drama-free and stress-free environment. If any participant brings negativity or drama, they will be asked to leave without a refund and will not be allowed to return. Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and valued, so we ask for your cooperation in keeping a cool, calm, and collected attitude throughout the trip. We truly appreciate each of our customers and are committed to providing the best possible experience for all participants. Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to creating unforgettable memories together!
