TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are heading to New Mexico for an amazing weekend of Cow Elk Hunting! This will be a once in a lifetime trip as we spot and stalk Cow Elk throughout the beautiful terrain of New Mexico! Our guides will graciously be alongside us as we make our way through the wilderness and glass for Cow Elk. Not only will the hunt be exciting and full of adventure, did you know the average Cow Elk yields 169 pounds of meat!? So pack your coolers! This trip will include the Landowners Tag in the cost, so you don’t need to worry about a tag draw or lottery system. Once you are signed up for the trip, the guide will help you obtain the New Mexico Non-Resident License, that simple! Plan to arrive anytime after 12 P.M. , on Friday. Prepare to leave Tuesday morning.
LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
We will be staying in the Hunting Lodge outside of Pie Town, New Mexico. Every hunter will have their own bed. The hunting lodge has a full kitchen, where meals will be provided for us! There will be spacious areas to hangout and relax in. We will have plenty of space to move around amongst each other.
TARGET SPECIES, REGULATIONS AND PROCESSING OF TAXIDERMY OR MEAT HARVEST PLAN.
This trip includes 3 full days of spot and stalk hunting In New Mexico. Black Mountain Outfitters have meat processors nearby that can process your elk meat for you. If you are flying, we will need to freeze the meat and carry it on or store it in checked luggage. Or, you can ship it home. We recommend bringing extra trash bags to store meat in and fly it in your carry on.
Your guaranteed landowner tag to hunt Cow Elk is covered in the cost of this hunt. After you have signed up for the hunt, we will reach out to get you set up with the New Mexico Non-Resident General License which is $427 plus any sales tax.

We are able to offer this weekend at only $2,748 per person, which will include a nonrefundable deposit of $520, 4 additional payments of $557 due every other month.

This group is where you can connect with other trip attendees, ask your trip coordinator questions, and receive additional trip details. You can discuss packing lists, travel plans, and more. Please be sure you use a valid working email to register for this trip. If you do not have a facebook account please send an email to questions@herwilderness.co so that we can make the appropriate accommodations to get you additional trip details. Please read carefully: please make all payments by their due dates. If payments are late we will always work with you. however if there is no communication we will assume you are forfeiting your spot and any payments made will not be refunded.
