TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are headed back to the Red River for our Third Annual Red River Cast + Blast. The last two years were so much fun we had to do it again. We will be headed out with our guides on the Red River home of the finest channel catfishing experience in America. He and his colleagues are the premier guide service on the Red River of the North. They operate on the US side of the Red River, operating from the cities of Grand Forks and Drayton, North Dakota. Our guide will provide everything you need to catch big catfish. The only thing you need to bring is a valid fishing license from North Dakota or Minnesota and any food and beverages you may want to snack on while fishing. Other than that, your job is to reel in big cats and smile for the camera. The following day we will be spending the morning BLASTING shells and perfecting our shooting skills at Dakota Sporting Clays Club with amazing instructors. We will break down incorrect shooting habits and create a foundation for shooting excellence. PERFECT FOR ANY BEGINNER! You will need to provide your own shotgun and 2 boxes of 7.5 or 8 shot target ammunition. If you do not have these, please connect with your trip coordinator, as we can accommodate if necessary. Plan to arrive in the afternoon, after 4 P.M. CST, on Friday and departing in the afternoon, around 2 P.M. CST, on Sunday.
This trip includes lodging at Andrea’s house, a full day of fishing with our guides and a morning of Sporting Clays shooting. We are able to offer this at an incredible price of $ per person. You will need to get a Minnesota or North Dakota fishing license to participate on this trip. The guides will be providing everything needed for a successful fishing trip and instruction, safety information and a clay shooting experience.
Since we will be hitting the water in early May, keep in mind that the temperatures might fluctuate for northern Minnesota. Your coordinator will keep you updated on weather conditions as the trip approaches.

A Minnesota or North Dakota fishing license is needed for this trip. You can buy it online for ND here or MN here or at Cabelas or Scheels Sporting Goods.

Lodging for this event will be at Andrea’s You will be sharing a room with the other participants.
Join Andrea in her over 2600 square ft single family home in East Grand Forks, Minnesota The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, surround sound home theater and a full wet bar in the basement with a laundry room and fitness center. Fenced back yard with pit boss smoker grill and fire pit. Cable TV and Internet included.
Friday- Arrive at Andrea's after 5pm. Meet and greet, BBQ, yard games, campfire and social.
Saturday- 9am Meet at the Red River launch, meet the Catfish pros, assign boats, safety meetings, fish all day. Social/Dinner following fishing at the Blue Moose Bar and Grill.
Sunday: 9am Dakota Sporting Clays course.

AIRPORTS + TRAVEL INFORMATION
If you are flying, the nearest airport to East Grand Forks is Grand Forks International (GFK) Airport, which is 8 miles away. The other option is Hector International Airport in Fargo, ND (FAR) 71 miles away. We recommend waiting to book your flights to be in sync with the other women attending. You will likely find someone to carpool with or split a rental vehicle. Tentatively plan to arrive between 4pm-9pm on Friday and depart between 2pm-4pm on Sunday.
MEET THE COORDINATOR
Andrea lives in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, a city on the border of North Dakota in northern Minnesota.
Her dad taught her how to hunt, fish, and enjoy the outdoors. Together, they had so many great memories doing what they both loved. Andrea’s first Her Wilderness trip was for ruffed grouse and woodcock in September of 2020! She knew after that trip her life had changed for the better! Andrea loves anything that she can hunt, but upland and waterfowl are her favorites.
Exploring in the outdoors and creating new adventures for herself and like-minded women is a passion for her! Someday soon, she hopes to fulfill her dream of a mountain elk hunt!
