TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are heading back to the breathtaking Boynton Beach, Florida for another Iguana Hunt and Peacock Bass Fishing adventure. We had so much fun the last two years - WE JUST HAD TO repeat that fun in 2024. You will spend one day chasing the invasive species of iguanas and one day freshwater fishing for Peacock Bass. Boynton Beach is near West Palm Beach, Florida which is an urban area filled with fun things to do. Our gracious guide will be providing all the equipment needed for our success both hunting and fishing. A Florida Freshwater Fishing License is required.
There are so many things we can do in the West Palm Beach area from visiting a local beach and catching some rays, to snorkeling, and also enjoy some of the area's best restaurants. There are also a couple national wildlife refuges in the area to explore!
This trip will accommodate 5 women, giving everyone a great experience. If you are worried or hesitant because you’ve never tried this before, set your worries aside! Our guide has been with us for 3 years now and will make this an amazing experience!

This charming 3 Bedroom 2 Bath house, located a block off the intracoastal and just a mile to the beach in an upscale East Boynton Beach neighborhood, is sure to make you feel at home. Fully-stocked kitchen, and a beautiful outdoor pool, what better place to stay for your vacation? Take a leisurely 10-minute drive to downtown Delray Beach and enjoy a plethora of great restaurants, grocery stores, and more.
TARGET SPECIES, REGULATIONS AND PROCESSING OF TAXIDERMY OR MEAT HARVEST PLAN.
We are hunting the invasive species, iguana. Iguanas are not native to Florida and are considered an invasive species due to their impacts to native wildlife. We will have our afternoons free to hangout and grab lunch, explore West Palm Beach, or play in our pool! YES, BRING YOUR SWIMSUIT! The following day we will be heading out to fish Peacock Bass at 7:30a. Peacock Bass have a very distinct look They are similar to that of a largemouth bass; color highly variable, but generally golden with three black vertical bars that tend to fade and are possibly absent in older fish; black spot with a yellow-gold halo on the caudal fin. You may bring the iguana meat home if wanted. The peacock bass are catch and release. If you are flying, we will need to freeze the iguana meat and carry it on or store it in checked luggage. Or, you can ship it home. I recommend bringing extra ziploc bags and trash bags to store meat in and fly it in your carry on.

Things not included in this trip:
-Any tips to your guides/outfitters - please wait to hear from your coordinator on a suggested tipping amount and plan to always bring cash for tipping. Tipping doesn’t apply to all trips.
-Transportation. Your airline or rental car is not included. Please do not expect to arrive at the airport and have a ride unless specifically planned out with someone.. We suggest that you wait to book any travel plans until you’ve talked with other girls going on the trip. Chances are other people are also flying/driving in and you will be able to coordinate plans with them. It is always cheaper to split a rental car 4 ways!
-Meals are not included in the cost of this trip. We will plan to enjoy the local cuisines or cook at our lodging accommodations!

This group is where you can connect with other trip attendees, ask your trip coordinator questions, and receive additional trip details. You can discuss packing lists, travel plans, and more. Please read carefully: please make all payments by their due dates. If payments are late we will always work with you. however if there is no communication we will assume you are forfeiting your spot and any payments made will not be refunded. By registering for any wilderness trip you are under the full understanding that there are no refunds. by registering for this trip you understand that your deposit is non-refundable with no exceptions.
