TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION

We are headed back to beautiful Charleston, South Carolina for our second trip with Four Sons Charters. However, this time we will be chasing wahoo and tuna in the Atlantic Ocean. Attendees will have the chance to do one day of offshore fishing targeting wahoo and tuna, and spend the second day inshore fishing for giant bull reds (we may even hook a blacktip shark or two). We had such an amazing experience last year we could not help ourselves but to return.

Saturday will be our offshore fishing day, so plan on being on the boat for a full day of fishing. If we are not exhausted from reeling in our catches, we can certainly find a restaurant and evening adventure near our Airbnb. Sunday, we will do our inshore fishing, with time afterward to explore the city of Charleston. Charleston’s downtown area features many historical attractions, as well as delicious restaurant and shopping options. Last year's adventures even brought us to a mechanical bull and a pineapple water fountain. There are also many amazing beaches to explore, all within a short distance of where we will be staying. In the past, some women have chosen to arrive a day early or stay an extra day to really take in all the city has to offer.

This trip includes two days of fishing, two nights of lodging and a generous tip to our guides. The guides will be providing everything needed for a successful weekend, however, travel is not included.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS + REGULATIONS:

The licenses you will need will be taken care of by our guides and included in our package. No purchase of any licensing is necessary.

TRIP ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS

The Bahamas House in Charleston is the best value you can find for a group coming to visit! It's just five minutes to historic downtown Charleston, and a short drive to the beach! It's also right in the middle of the Brewery District and a short ride to all the bars and restaurants of downtown Charleston. This adorable Bahamian Cottage is newly renovated and offers beach supplies, a fully stocked kitchen, and sleeps up to six guests. Plus, a gorgeous new patio was recently added to the courtyard. This makes for the perfect outdoor area to enjoy the evenings together! The owners say about the home’s decor: “We fell in love with the Bahamian culture over the years and tried to recreate a Bahamas feel from the inside out with coastal decor and bright colors. We hope you love it as well and cannot wait to share it with you.”

The second nearest airport is the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), which is about 96 miles from the Airbnb. We recommend waiting to book your flights to be in sync with the other women attending to make traveling from the airport to the Airbnb easier. Rachel, this trip’s coordinator, has graciously offered to pick up trip attendees if everyone flies into the same airport. With some logistical coordination, she is able to pick up attendees from either airport. Tentatively plan to arrive sometime in the afternoon (12 - 4 p.m.) on Friday, April 1st and depart in the afternoon (2 - 6 p.m.) on Sunday, April 3rd.

MEET THE COORDINATOR

Rachel Miles grew up in a small town called Chisago City, MN. She loves being outside and every adventure it brings – fishing, bow hunting, kayaking, riding ATVs, camping and the list goes on. Her first love is for her bow. Second, her fishing poles and tackle (hard water or open water).

Rachel was introduced to the great outdoors by her father and brother and has been hooked ever since. Though her bow is her first love, she loves trying new things. In the last year, she has attended many of the Her Wildness events including bowfishing, salmon fishing, grouse hunting, off shore fishing, big game hunting and sporting clays. In this calendar year she wants to experience Sand Hill Crane hunting and anything else she can get her hook stuck into.
