TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are headed to the Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky, where we will be hand grabb’in for catfish! KY Hand Grabb’in has years of experience putting their clients on fish. They even provide habitat for the fish year-round by building catfish boxes to place under the water. We are beyond excited to experience this trip at such a well-known lake.
On Friday, anytime after 4 P.M., we can arrive at our cabin located in Cadiz. Cadiz is considered an “Outdoorsmans Dream”. The town is located right by the lake, which means there are plenty of opportunities to bank fish or hangout around the cabin’s outdoor fire. We are staying in Bleidt’s Bucks and Bass Cabins, which are fully equipped with everything you need. It is likely you will have to share a room or bed with others on this trip. Please be prepared for that! We have to be checked out by 11 A.M. on Sunday.
The price for this weekend will cover two full days of hand grabb’in, all equipment needed, and two nights of lodging in a cabin. Meals and guide gratuity are not included. Please plan to bring drinks and snacks on the boat.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS + REGULATIONS:
A Kentucky fishing license is needed for this trip. A 7-day nonresident license costs $35. You can buy it online or at a local Walmart.
TRIP ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
Bleidt's Bucks and Bass Cabins is a family and sportsman retreat. Whether you are looking for fishing, hunting, boating, swimming or just good old peace and relaxation, you’ll consider your cabin a home away from home. Located just 1.5 miles from the entrance of Lake Barkley State Park, the cabins have open floor plans with tall ceilings and hardwood floors throughout. Each cabin is completely furnished and offers a newly constructed pavilion with picnic tables and grill, with separate laundry facilities and freezers available, as well as an outdoor fire pit with seating for four.

We are able to offer this weekend at a price of $850 per person, which will include a non-refundable deposit of $250 and two additional payments of $300.

AIRPORTS + TRAVEL INFORMATION
The nearest airport is Barkley Regional Airport, which is 53.6 miles to Cadiz. The second nearest airport is the Nashville International Airport, which is 82.2 miles to Cadiz. We recommend waiting to book your flights to be in sync with the other women attending to make traveling from the airport to the cabin easier. Your trip coordinator has generously offered to pick up the attendees who fly into Barkley Airport.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: PLEASE MAKE ALL PAYMENTS BY THEIR DUE DATES. IF PAYMENTS ARE LATE WE WILL ALWAYS WORK WITH YOU. HOWEVER IF THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION WE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE FORFEITING YOUR SPOT AND ANY PAYMENTS MADE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. WE WILL THEN REACH OUT TO OUR WAITLIST AND GET YOUR SPOT FILLED BY ANOTHER PARTY. BY REGISTERING FOR ANY HER WILDERNESS TRIP YOU ARE UNDER THE FULL UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. We are able to offer a partial refund only if we fill your spot with a member on the waiting list. At that time we may be able to refund any additional payments made outside of your deposit. Your deposit is NOT refundable. If your spot does not get filled, we will not be able to offer a refund.

MEET THE COORDINATOR
Randi grew up in Northern Kentucky, but loves to travel around the United States. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. At one point, she lived in Montana for six months working on a large cattle ranch. Today, she spends most of her time outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, riding horses, and boating.
When she first started hunting as a kid, she only hunted whitetails and rabbits with her beagles. Within the past five years she has started adventuring out and trying new things. She now has attended multiple guided hunts for waterfowl and cranes, went on Her Wilderness trips, and joined outdoor clubs. Her newest hobby is fly fishing. She enjoys making connections with people who she can uplift and enjoy the great outdoors with. Because she enjoys trying new things and experiences, Her Wilderness has given her a mix of both!
