TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
How would you like to cross two trips off your bucket list at one time? Here is your chance as we are heading to Biggers, AR for an amazing week of Flooded Timber Duck Hunting and Specklebelly Goose Hunting! Our mornings will begin earlier with our guides taking us to some of the best flooded timber spots Arkansas has to offer! We will have an opportunity at pintail, gadwall, widgeon and mallards. During our afternoon hunt we will be relaxing in A-Frame blinds out in the field chasing after Speckle Belly geese. Speckle belly are not just a fun bird to watch come into the decoys but they also taste amazing on the grill in thinly slices speckle belly steaks! This trip will include 3 nights lodging and a well cooked meal every night after our hunt. Plan to arrive any time after 5 P.M. on Tuesday and prepare to leave Friday January 19 late morning after our hunt.
LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
We will be staying in the Leg Iron Hunting Lodge in Biggers, Arkansas. The lodge offers single style rooms and bunkhouse style rooms. The lodge has a mud room with wader racks and boot dryers. The lodge is an old school house converted to a hunting lodge so we will have access to fully stocked kitchens, a girls locker room and two lounges. We will definitely have plenty to do around the lodge as it includes a pool table, basketball hoop, cornhole and plenty of common areas for us to relax!
TARGET SPECIES, REGULATIONS AND PROCESSING OF TAXIDERMY OR MEAT HARVEST PLAN.
Each state has different rules and regulations when it comes to their limits. Here is what the limits are in the state of Arkansas:
The Arkansas Waterfowl Season allows for 6 Ducks
WHICH MAY INCLUDE: 4 Mallards (2 Hens), 1 Scaup, 3 Wood Ducks, 1 Pintail, 2 Redheads, 2 Canvasback, 2 Black Ducks, 1 Mottled Duck. If not listed, up to 6 ducks of a species (including teal) may be taken. Duck and teal species not listed have no extra restriction beyond the 6 duck total bag limit.
Duck possession limit is 18, three times your daily bag limit.
Canada Goose daily limit is 2 with a possession limit of 6, three times your daily bag limit.
Specklebelly Goose daily limit is 3 with a possession limit of 9, three times your daily bag limit.
Snows, Blues and Ross Geese combined daily limit is 20 with NO possession limit.
You will need to obtain your Arkansas Hunting license. Here is what is required:
