TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION

We are headed to Cascade Locks, Oregon for an adventurous weekend targeting Fall Chinook Salmon. For 3 days and 2 nights, we will be staying at an Airbnb located in Cascade Locks, Oregon. We will be venturing between Oregon and Washington, specifically fishing Washington, as we will be divided by the Columbia River between the two states. A Washington freshwater license with a catch card is required. There are 3-day fishing licenses available for purchase. This trip will accommodate 6 women, giving every girl the opportunity to fight with a salmon. Don’t worry, our guides will be there to assist along the way and make sure we win the fight. Please plan to arrive Friday September 6, anytime after 4:00 PM. Prepare to leave Sunday September 8, later afternoon, following a morning fishing season.

During our downtime, we have multiple options for adventuring. Just a heads up, you’ll want a camera. We are close to the Multnomah Falls, Oregon (approx. 20 min), where we will be able to walk up close to the waterfalls, or take a small hike to the upper viewing bridge. Not only will we be surrounded by water and beautiful views, we will also have a viewing of the Bridge of Gods, possibly have the chance of driving over to our fishing location (small toll required - $3.00). If we are exhausted from fishing, our Airbnb also has beautiful views of the Columbia River, as well as space for all of us to relax and enjoy our company.

LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS

We will be staying in an AIRBNB located in Cascade Locks, Oregon. This location is approximately 30 miles from where we plan to be fishing.  The house has 3 bedrooms, 3 queen beds and 2 sofa beds in the living room. 1 girl will have to share a bed. The AIRBNB has a full kitchen, where we can cook up our own meals, possibly even fresh salmon! If we decide to go out on the town for dinner, there are multiple food options available. There is plenty of space for all of us together either inside or outside, depending on the Pacific Northwest weather. There are 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer and plenty of space to enjoy each other's company and prepare for a fishy weekend.

TARGET SPECIES, REGULATIONS AND PROCESSING OF TAXIDERMY OR MEAT HARVEST PLAN.

We will be fishing for Chinook Salmon early Saturday and Sunday morning. One adult limit per person, jacks are a BONUS. Although we will be staying in Oregon, we will be traveling across the bridge, over the Columbia River to Washington. Once we limit out of fish, or run out of daylight, we will have our evenings free for sightseeing, easy to moderate hiking/walking and relaxing. Our guides will be fileting all the fish for us, please prepare to transport your filets back home with you. If you will be flying with your fish, you will need to freeze the meat and/or keep it cool. You can store your fish in your carry on, or check luggage. Highly recommend packing  a soft sided cooler to store your fish in. I recommend bringing zip lock bags for the fish, I would hate for it to leak in your luggage and/or cooler.

EXPECTATIONS + NO DRAMA POLICY

There are times that our trips do not go exactly as planned or advertised. Mother nature plays a large role in how we are able to spend time outdoors. We ask that you come into every single Her Wilderness trip with a positive attitude and “go with the flow” mindset for the duration of your trip. If that seems unreasonable, we kindly ask that you do not register for our events. The weather is unpredictable and can impact hiking, hunting, fishing, and our number #1 priority, your safety! For example, if your trip is geared towards hunting ducks, but right now the guide can only confidently offer a successful goose hunt, we will go with the guide's recommendation. If a situation like this will upset you then please do not register for a trip with us. We expect every woman to have a positive attitude no matter the circumstances.
