We’re heading back to the heart of Africa and we want YOU to come with us! Join Her Wilderness for the most soul-stirring, memory-making experience of your life: five full days of plains game hunting in South Africa’s rugged bush, surrounded by likeminded women, guided by seasoned pros, and rooted in connection, confidence, and courage. Whether you're a seasoned hunter or brand new to the sport, this trip is designed to uplift and empower. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn, show up for others, and chase adventure in the most breathtaking place on earth.
Each guest will receive an incredible package that includes:
5 days of guided hunting
7 nights of lodging
4 trophy animals: 1x Zebra, 1x Impala, 1x Common Blesbok, 1x Common Springbok
Airport transfers (Sat/Fri)
All meals while at camp
Daily laundry service
Full licensing + trophy prep
Range time + support from professional hunters

Global Entry (optional, but highly recommended for a smoother re-entry to the U.S.)
All standard licensing, permits, and trophy field prep are included. Want to add more animals to your hunt? You absolutely can! Work directly with your trip coordinator to customize your experience. All additional game must be arranged no later than February 22, 2026 to ensure proper permitting. Once you are registered for this trip, your coordinator will supply you with a full list of additional animals that you can add!
Tentative itinerary
Friday: Arrive in Johannesburg, Meet your fellow travelers, Overnight at a comfortable hotel near the airport.
Saturday: Outfitter pickup & scenic drive to cam, Settle into your room, Welcome dinner & orientation
Sunday–Thursday: Breakfast at camp, Morning hunt, Midday lunch + rest, Afternoon hunt, Evenings around the fire, sharing stories and meals from our harvest
Friday: Late breakfast, Transfer to airport, Depart South Africa
Lodging + accomodations
Your meals at camp will be freshly prepared with the meat from our own harvests. Every part of the animal is respected and honored.
Our harvests are thoughtfully shared:

⅓ is gifted to a local orphanage
Each morning, the butcher selects the best cuts for our meals. Dining around the fire with food you helped provide is an unforgettable part of this experience.
We’ll be staying at our favorite hunting lodge in SA, it’s a cozy and spacious camp set deep in the bush. You can expect: Handmade South African decor. Shared rooms (you may share a bed, come with a friend or make a new one!) Daily laundry service (pack light!) All meals and drinks included during camp stay Our exact lodging may shift slightly depending on species targeted by the group, but rest assured every lodge is clean, safe, beautiful, and surrounded by wildlife. The lodging accommodations that are included in your trip are always tailored to women looking for a welcoming and spacious atmosphere to foster friendships! Our cozy accommodations offer ample room to relax and unwind, featuring large common areas where you can connect with fellow guests. When selecting a space, we prioritize spaces that create a serene escape, complemented by shared amenities that encourage camaraderie and comfort. You’ll find well-maintained shared bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone. Please note that during this trip, you may need to share a bed / bedroom with another participant. We appreciate your understanding as this helps foster a sense of camaraderie and community among all attendees. Feel free to socialize in the kitchen and living areas or enjoy the fresh air outside. Whether you’re joining us for a quick weekend getaway or an extended stay, we strive to choose an environment that nurtures a sense of community while providing all the comforts of home. Firearm rentals or bring your own

Rent one from the outfitter ($150 rental fee + $80 ammo fee)
We highly recommend using the outfitter’s rifles for ease of travel and confidence in the field. Either way, we must know your choice by February 22, 2026. Sunday morning includes a range session to get 100% comfortable with your weapon before heading into the bush. No pressure. No judgment. Just empowerment.

Yes! We recommend waiting to book your flight until our Facebook group is created after the trip sells out. The outfitter suggests flying Delta, so we can try to coordinate on the same connection flight, typically through Atlanta. Plan to arrive Friday evening, stay at a nearby airport hotel with everyone from the group, and the outfitter will pick us up Saturday morning to head to camp.

The trip is limited to 8 women, including the coordinator. Groups of 4 hunt together each day.

While we do everything we can to ensure a successful and enjoyable experience, there is no guarantee of harvesting a specific species.

We recommend neutral colors such as tans, browns, or shades of green. Camouflage is optional, not required. Layering is key, as daytime temperatures will likely range from 60–80°F. Daily laundry service is provided at camp, so you can pack light and refresh your clothing each day.

Accommodations typically include shared bedrooms, shared bathrooms, and communal living spaces that allow guests to gather, socialize, and unwind. Please note that room and bed sharing may be required depending on the trip structure. Specific lodging information will be provided by your trip coordinator once your group is finalized, along with packing suggestions and expectations to ensure you feel fully prepared.

We are committed to a drama-free environment built on mutual respect, encouragement, and professionalism. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior toward participants, staff, or guides will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the trip without refund.

REGISTRATION & COMMUNICATION
All registrations are completed through the WeTravel platform, where you will receive confirmation and payment management support. After booking, your coordinator will contact you with next steps, access to your private trip group, and invitations to scheduled virtual meetings. To ensure communication is efficient and organized, coordinators will provide their preferred contact method and will not communicate through personal social media accounts.
