SAVE YOUR SPOT

Step into the warmth, slow down, and reconnect with yourself and other like-minded women during this intimate winter wellness retreat. Your experience includes two thermal contrast therapy sessions, a wool sauna hat, one night of cozy lodging, a light dinner on Saturday, and a simple grab-and-go breakfast on Sunday morning.

Sauna Camps

Nestled on the edge of a frozen Minnesota lakeshore, our private wood-fired sauna becomes the heart of a restorative experience designed to melt away stress and revive your spirit. For one unforgettable night, we’ll gather together in a cozy bunkhouse, share a catered Olive Garden Soup, Salad and Breadstick dinner, practice grounding yoga and sound bowls, and experience both twilight and morning sauna + cold plunge sessions. With each session, the world gets quieter, the steam gets heavier, and your mind becomes clearer.

Whether this is your first sauna experience or your weekly ritual, this retreat is all about presence, breath, connection, and winter magic. Thermal contrast therapy is the practice of moving between intense heat and invigorating cold, creating a powerful reset for your body and mind. In this natural wilderness setting, your two-hour session will move at your own pace, nothing is rushed and nothing is required. You’ll begin by settling into a warm, wood-fired cedar sauna on the edge of the lake, letting the heat open your pores, relax your muscles, and quiet your thoughts. When you’re ready, you’ll step outside into the crisp winter air and take a brief plunge into the icy lake through hand-cut openings in the ice. The cold is quick, sharp, and incredibly refreshing. Most women choose to repeat this heat-to-cold cycle a few times, taking breaks to sip water, breathe, laugh, and connect with others in our group. Throughout the session, you’ll be surrounded by a vibrant, supportive community where strangers quickly become friends and everyone moves at a level that feels safe and empowering for their own body.

What’s Included

  • Private 20-person Twilight Sauna Session Saturday Evening (2 hours total)
Sit in the glow of a crackling wood-fired stove, breathe deeply, and enjoy the warmth as the sun sets over the snowy landscape.

  • Private 20-person Morning Sauna Session Sunday Morning (2 hours total)
Welcome the new day with steam, intention, and a cold plunge opportunity for those who want it.

  • A wool Sauna Hat for each participant - To make your experience as comfortable and safe as possible, each woman will receive her own 100% wool sauna hat to use during our thermal contrast sessions. These hats are an essential part of traditional sauna culture, designed to protect your head and hair from overheating while allowing your body to fully enjoy the heat. Wool naturally insulates, regulates temperature, and absorbs moisture, helping you stay grounded and relaxed even in high heat.

A warm, communal space where we’ll gather, rest, and unwind together. This is a rustic community style camp. Please bring your own sleeping bag, pillow and towel.

  • Guided Yoga Experience with Amy from Wilderness + Wellness
Gentle morning movement followed by vibrational sound healing to ground your body and mind.

  • Evening Sound Bowl Session with Amy from Wilderness + Wellness

WHY HER WILDERNESS?

Since 2019, Her Wilderness has been redefining the outdoor space for women. Our mission is to empower women through meaningful outdoor experiences, whether that’s hunting, fishing, hiking, or simply stepping into nature with confidence. Every trip we offer is designed to help you grow, connect, and feel truly alive. We know outdoor adventures can feel intimidating, especially if you’re new to it. That’s why our trips are women-only, designed to be welcoming, safe, and encouraging. No judgment. No pressure. Just a group of like-minded women supporting each other as we explore new skills and discover new passions.

LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS

The lodging accommodations that are included in your trip are always tailored to women looking for a welcoming and spacious atmosphere to foster friendships! Our cozy accommodations offer ample room to relax and unwind, featuring large common areas where you can connect with fellow guests.  When selecting a space, we prioritize spaces that create a serene escape, complemented by shared amenities that encourage camaraderie and comfort. You’ll find well-maintained shared bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone. Please note that during this trip, you may need to share a bed / bedroom with another participant. We appreciate your understanding as this helps foster a sense of camaraderie and community among all attendees. Feel free to socialize in the kitchen and living areas or enjoy the fresh air outside. Whether you’re joining us for a quick weekend getaway or an extended stay, we strive to choose an environment that nurtures a sense of community while providing all the comforts of home. Embrace the chance to make new friends and create lasting memories during this unique experience! Once you connect with your trip coordinator, they will share more specific details about your lodging accommodations.

DEPOSIT + PAYMENT INFORMATION

We are able to offer this weekend at only $450 per person, which will include a nonrefundable deposit of $225 and 1 additional payment of $225. Please read carefully: All payments must be made by their due dates. If you anticipate a delay, we encourage you to communicate with us, and we will do our best to work with you. However, if payments are overdue and we have not heard from you, we will assume you are forfeiting your spot, and any payments made will not be refunded. By registering for any wilderness trip, you acknowledge that the deposit is non-refundable, with no exceptions. For more details about our refund policy, please click here.

FAQ’S AND POLICY

Yes, we know this part might seem a bit tedious, but it’s important! We kindly ask that everyone who registers for a trip visits the FAQs and Policy page on our website. If you sign up for a trip without reviewing this information, it’s your responsibility. There’s a wealth of valuable information there that could influence your decision. Please make sure to check out all the FAQs and Policies on our website before signing up for a trip with us. Thank you!

TRIP EXPECTATIONS + NO DRAMA POLICY

At Her Wilderness, our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and empowering outdoor experience for every woman who joins us. That said, outdoor adventures come with a level of unpredictability, especially when weather, wildlife, and group dynamics are involved. We ask all participants to bring a flexible mindset and a positive attitude. Weather conditions, guide recommendations, and other factors may require last-minute changes to activities, schedules, or game pursued (for example, switching from a duck hunt to a goose hunt if conditions call for it). These decisions are made with your safety and the quality of the experience in mind. If adaptability and going with the flow are not things you're comfortable with, we respectfully suggest reconsidering your participation in our trips.

What You Can Expect:

  • Outdoor conditions may change plans—including hunts, hikes, or water access.

  • You may share lodging with others.

  • Some locations may have limited facilities.

  • There is no guarantee of harvesting a specific species.

  • We do everything we can to deliver a great experience—no matter the challenge.

What We Expect:

  • A respectful, go-with-the-flow attitude.

  • Willingness to adapt to changes in schedule or activity.

  • Zero tolerance for drama, negativity, or behavior that impacts the group.

We maintain a strict no-drama policy. Any participant who brings negativity, disrupts the group dynamic, or disrespects staff or others will be asked to leave without a refund and will not be invited back to future events. We are here to build community, confidence, and lasting memories in the outdoors. Thank you for being part of that mission and for helping us keep our trips positive, welcoming, and fun for all!

TRIP REGISTRATION AND CONTACT INFORMATION

We’re thrilled to announce a new booking and payment system aimed at enhancing your experience! Starting October 1, 2024, all trip registrations will be processed through WeTravel. Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email via the WeTravel platform. Your trip coordinator will then reach out with detailed information about your adventure and schedule two virtual video meetings for all trip attendees. The coordinator will share their email and other contact information with you at their discretion, so please respect their boundaries and contact them only through the provided information. A quick reminder: personal social media profiles are not the best way to reach out to your coordinator. During the virtual meetings, hosted on Google Meet, you’ll discuss important details such as packing lists, travel plans, and more. To ensure smooth communication, please register with a valid email address that you check regularly. If you have any questions or need assistance regarding the trip, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at questions@herwilderness.co. We look forward to making your experience exceptional!
