TRIP INCLUDES: 2 NIGHTS STAY AT JIM RIVER RANCH, 2 MORNINGS OF HUNTING AND MEALS FOR THE WEEKEND. ALSO INCLUDED IS A TIP FOR THE LOCALS WHO WILL HELP SCOUT BEFORE WE ARRIVE, SET SPREADS AND ASSIST IN CALLING THE GEESE IF NEEDED.

Her Wilderness is bringing you to Redfield, SD area to hunt our sky pandas, the Canada Goose. A weekend of great company out in a secluded goose area. Early Fall hunting in South Dakota usually means you will get big piles, smiles and memories to bring back home. We will be staying at Jim River Ranch outside of Redfield and will be able to spend our free time hanging out with each other doing activities. Grilling, hot tubbing and trap shooting are all expected during this wonderful weekend when we aren’t in the field. Bring your swimsuit!
Plan to arrive Friday evening. We will be hunting Saturday and Sunday morning in two smaller groups to ensure everyone is shooting. The cost of this trip will include the 2 nights of lodging, hunting and all meals for the weekend. We will be hosting a self guided hunt with the help of a few locals, They will have eyes on the birds before we arrive, allow us to use their decoy spreads and assist in calling in the field. You are responsible to bring your own gun and shells. If you need assistance with this please reach out.
The weekend is $375. A nonrefundable deposit of $175 is due at registration. Following that will be one more payment of $200.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The licenses you will need is a SD Canada Goose - September Non- Resident for out of state guests. . The application date opens July 22nd and closes Sept 30th (This application process is first come first serve). When applying for that license you will then have to also purchase a state habitat stamp and federal waterfowl stamp. For South Dakota residents, you will need a SD Hunting License, combination or small game license, with a migratory bird certificate, state habitat stamp and federal waterfowl stamp. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: PLEASE MAKE ALL PAYMENTS BY THEIR DUE DATES. IF PAYMENTS ARE LATE WE WILL ALWAYS WORK WITH YOU. HOWEVER IF THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION WE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE FORFEITING YOUR SPOT AND ANY PAYMENTS MADE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. WE WILL THEN REACH OUT TO OUR WAITLIST AND GET YOUR SPOT FILLED BY ANOTHER PARTY. BY REGISTERING FOR ANY HER WILDERNESS TRIP YOU ARE UNDER THE FULL UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. (We are able to offer a partial refund only if we fill your spot with a member on the waiting list. At that time we may be able to refund any additional payments made outside of your deposit. Your deposit is NOT refundable. If your spot does not get filled, we will not be able to offer a refund.)
The closest airport is Sioux Falls, SD with a 3 hour drive. Please plan to arrive Friday night as we will be getting up early Saturday and Sunday morning. Carpooling can be arranged for anyone flying into Sioux Falls. Early goose season in South Dakota is always one to remember, join us!
