The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) is a million acres of wild, protected forest with thousands of miles of canoe routes linked by lakes, rivers and portages. Receding glaciers left cliffs and canyons, towering rocks and deep, blue lakes with wooded islands — nirvana for canoeists and campers.

Our trip will be four days but the memories will last a lifetime. The portage and paddle will be at an Easy to Intermediate level. The cost of this trip will include the canoe, paddle and permit for the weekend. Additional equipment such as tents, sleeping pads, cooking utensils and pans, packs, fishing equipment, etc. can be rented at an added cost. Food can also be purchased through the guide or you are welcome to pack in food for the weekend. Attendees will be able to plan beforehand with eachother as well to avoid duplicates or missing items. Each camper will be required to watch informational videos before the trip.

The total cost of this trip is $300 which includes 3 days of portaging, canoes and a tip for the guide. This trip will be split into 3 separate payments of $100 with the first $100 payment due at the time of registration.

HOWEVER IF THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION WE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE FORFEITING YOUR SPOT AND ANY PAYMENTS MADE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. WE WILL THEN REACH OUT TO OUR WAITLIST AND GET YOUR SPOT FILLED BY ANOTHER PARTY. BY REGISTERING FOR ANY HER WILDERNESS TRIP YOU ARE UNDER THE FULL UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. (We are able to offer a partial refund only if we fill your spot with a member on the waiting list. At that time we may be able to refund any additional payments made outside of your deposit. Your deposit is NOT refundable. If your spot does not get filled, we will not be able to offer a refund.)

Plan to arrive to Ely on Wednesday evening as we will be packing out on Thursday morning. We will arrive back to camp on Sunday mid-morning.
