TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION

Escape to a winter wonderland, atop the Continental Divide in Western Wyoming. This group of eight women heading to Wyoming for this snowmobiling adventure will enjoy two full days of zooming along the snow-laden trails. Our days will be spent winding through lodgepole pine forests and valleys surrounded by stunning mountain vistas. During this four-day, three-night excursion, attendees will be surrounded by towering snowbanks in a serene mountain setting at Togwotee Mountain Lodge, in Moran, Wyoming. At over 8,645 feet, the high alpine air is crisp and refreshing, while also still and quiet—except for the occasional “braaap” of snow machines!

This trip includes two full days of guided snowmobiling on rented 650 CC snow machines. The Togwotee team is diligent about keeping these machines in tip-top shape, and the group’s snowmobile guide will provide everyone with detailed safety and driving information. Previous snowmobiling experience is not required to attend!

Attendees should aim to arrive in the area on Thursday afternoon, at which time the group will check into our cabins at Togwotee Mountain Lodge after 4 PM. That evening, the group will spend some time bonding over dinner at Togwotee’s restaurant or saloon, and in the adjacent game room. Friday morning, after a restful sleep in our cozy cabins, we will get familiar with the machines and equipment before heading out for a day on the snow. Lunch will be at a nearby lodge—Brooks Lake Lodge—which is only open to the public during lunchtime. After a day of fresh air, we will retreat back to the cabins where we can make dinner as a group or eat at the lodge once more. On Saturday, we’ll do it all over again, before departing anytime on Sunday. Cabin checkout is at 10 a.m.

Wyoming’s weather can be extremely unpredictable—a bluebird day can quickly turn into a blizzard by afternoon. The best way to prepare for these conditions is packing a variety of warm, moisture-wicking layers. Avoid cotton for the snowmobile rides, but pack whatever comfy clothes you desire for our time in the cabins. Waterproof winter jackets, pants/bibs, gloves/mittens and boots are a must. However, if you don’t have any or all of these items, the snowmobile rental shop offers a complete set of rental gear for $19/per person, per day. Helmets are included with your snowmobile rental, although snow goggles are not (and are encouraged).

LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS

Three nights of lodging in Togwotee’s cabins are included in the cost of this trip. Each cabin has 400 sq. feet of space that includes a living room, bedroom with two queen beds, kitchenette, and full bathroom. The kitchenettes include a mini-fridge, two-burner stove top, microwave, as well as pots and pans for cooking. The kitchenette allows our group the option to prepare meals at the cabin or to dine out at Togwotee Mountain Lodge’s restaurant or saloon. Attendees can expect to share a double bed with another woman, so please be prepared for that. Our cabins will provide us with quick and easy access to hop on the snowmobile trails.

FAQ’S AND POLICY

Yes, this is the boring part. BUT it’s important. We ask each person who registers for a trip to go and visit the FAQs and Policy page of our website. If you register for a trip before reading this information that is on you! There is a lot of great info found there that may or may not sway your decision. Please check out all of our FAQs + Policy page on our website BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR A TRIP WITH US! Thank you!

EXPECTATIONS + NO DRAMA POLICY

There are times that our trips do not go exactly as planned. Mother nature plays a large role in how we are able to spend time outdoors. We ask that you come into every single Her Wilderness trip with a positive attitude and “go with the flow” mindset for the duration of your trip. If that seems unreasonable, we kindly ask that you do not register for our events. The weather is unpredictable and can impact hiking, hunting, fishing, and our number #1 priority, your safety! For example, if your trip is geared towards hunting ducks, but right now the guide can only confidently offer a successful goose hunt, we will go with the guide's recommendation. If a situation like this will upset you then please do not register for a trip with us. We expect every woman to have a positive attitude no matter the circumstances. We have had plenty of trips get canceled, rescheduled or have plans changed with no issues simply because the group was understanding and made the best of the situation they were given. We pride ourselves in how fun our trips can be even in the most unfortunate of circumstances. If you are often considered “high maintenance” or tend to get stressed out then we kindly want to let you know that our trips are not a good fit for you. You may have to share a bed with a stranger, the weather may not allow us to participate in an activity, there may not be any showers available, there may only be 1 bathroom for 10 women, you may not harvest the animal you wanted to get, there could be someone on the trip that you just don’t vibe with. All of these scenarios are real and they happen. We will do our best to filter and prevent what we can before it becomes an issue. All of our trips and events are a drama and stress free zone! If you are the source of any drama you will be asked to leave with no refund given and you will not be welcome back. We always want to ensure that our customers are comfortable and taken care of. We will always ask that you have a cool, calm and collected attitude. If you are unable to maintain a good attitude in a variety of circumstances we ask that you refrain from registering for a trip. We appreciate each and everyone of our customers and want to ensure the best experience for all of our attendees!
