TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are Rainy River bound! We are headed back to the Rainy River for prehistoric sturgeon. Sturgeon found in the Rainy River are famous for reaching over 40 inches and even weighing up to 100 lbs. Our friends at RainyDaze Guide Service are going to be equipping us with all the right gear to bring these underwater dinosaurs into the boat. We will be staying at a beautiful home just north of Baudette, MN located right on the waters of Winter Road River. Here, you will have down time Friday evening and Saturday night to connect with like-minded women who have the same desires to gain new experiences in the outdoors. Whether you’re looking to check this majestic fish off your bucket list, or striving for a new personal best, we’re looking forward to your company out on the water!
The cost of this trip will cover one and a half days of fishing, two nights stay in an Airbnb, all equipment needed to fish, and a generous tip to our guide who will also clean our harvest for us. At our Airbnb, it is likely you will have to share a room or bed with others on this trip. Please be prepared for that! Being that this trip is in April in Minnesota - it is going to be very chilly. Please plan on bringing your warm winter clothing to fish with on the open water. You can always take layers off if need be and the Airbnb has plenty of storage.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS + REGULATIONS:
A Minnesota fishing license is needed for this trip. A resident Minnesota individual fishing license (Code 111) is $25 and it is good for the year. If you are a non-resident, an individual annual fishing license is $51 (Code 121). There is also a 72-hour/3-day individual license available (Code 127). You can buy it online HERE or at a local Walmart.
TRIP ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
Our Airbnb, called “Lake of the Woods Getaway,” is acomfy, cozy home tucked in a quiet neighborhood hide-away just 4.5 miles northwest from Baudette, MN. This spacious home is nestled right on the Winter Road River, just minutes away from the beautiful Rainy River and world class Walleye fishing. Some of the many amenities in this home include: lake/river access, wifi, patio/balcony, full kitchen and a cozy indoor fireplace. The fireplace will come in handy after coming in off the river fishing all day chasing fish. Be sure to bring all of your warm clothing - YOU WILL NEED IT! Plus, this home has lots of storage space!

We are able to offer this weekend at $650 per person which will be a non refundable deposit of $250 and two following payments of $200.

AIRPORTS + TRAVEL INFORMATION
The nearest airport is the Falls International Airport (INL / KINL), that is 68 miles from our Airbnb for the weekend. The second nearest airport is the Bemidji Regional Airport (BJI / KBJI), which is about 102 miles from the Airbnb. We recommend waiting to book your flights to be in sync with the other women attending to make traveling from the airport to the Airbnb easier. Tentatively plan to arrive sometime in the afternoon (12 - 4 P.M.) on Friday and depart in the afternoon (12 - 4 P.M.) on Sunday.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: PLEASE MAKE ALL PAYMENTS BY THEIR DUE DATES. IF PAYMENTS ARE LATE WE WILL ALWAYS WORK WITH YOU. HOWEVER IF THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION WE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE FORFEITING YOUR SPOT AND ANY PAYMENTS MADE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. WE WILL THEN REACH OUT TO OUR WAITLIST AND GET YOUR SPOT FILLED BY ANOTHER PARTY. BY REGISTERING FOR ANY HER WILDERNESS TRIP YOU ARE UNDER THE FULL UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. We are able to offer a partial refund only if we fill your spot with a member on the waiting list. At that time we may be able to refund any additional payments made outside of your deposit. Your deposit is NOT refundable. If your spot does not get filled, we will not be able to offer a refund.

MEET THE COORDINATOR
Toni will be your trip coordinator. She is from the small town of Nowthen, MN. She was introduced to the outdoors at a very young age, thanks to her parents. Today, her hobbies include fishing and tying her own feather and hair jigs. When she’s not fishing, you can find her cooking or tending to her smoker.
Toni loves to travel anywhere that introduces her to new people, bodies of water, or an exciting cuisine. Her favorite places to travel are currently western Montana and eastern Idaho. She hopes some day she’ll be able to travel to Alaska to fish and hike to the most beautiful sites!
