BOARDMAN, OREGON | FISHER’S CATCH OUTFITTERS
TOTAL COST: $875 | DEPOSIT AMOUNT: $375 (THIS IS NON-REFUNDABLE)
TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are off to the beautiful port city of Boardman, Oregon for our first trip with Fisher’s Catch Outfitters. Six ladies will have the chance to do one day of sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River, followed by a day of walleye fishing! Plan to arrive around 4 P.M. PDT, on Sunday for a meet and greet with your fellow fisherwomen, followed by dinner nearby our Airbnb.
Monday will be a full day of sturgeon fishing, so plan to be on the water most of the day! If we are not too exhausted from our day of fishing, we can find a local restaurant and an evening adventure near our Airbnb. Tuesday will be our day of walleye fishing! We will get back to the dock on Tuesday around 11AM, just in time to hit a local restaurant for lunch before departure.
Since we will be hitting the water in May in Oregon, keep in mind that it will be cooler. Temperatures will be around the mid-70s during the day, and mid-40s in the evenings. We will be heading out to fish early in the morning both days, so it will be a bit chilly early on but will warm up throughout the day. This trip includes two days of fishing, two nights stay in an Airbnb, and all equipment needed to fish. Our guides will also clean our catches for us. At our Airbnb, it is likely you will have to share a room or bed with others on this trip. Please be prepared for that!
LICENSING + REGULATIONS
Our guides require an Oregon State two-day fishing license for this trip, as well as a sturgeon catch record card. https://odfw.huntfishoregon.com/customer/home
TRIP ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
Our base camp for the weekend will be cute & cozy Airbnb near the dock. Keep in mind that you will likely be sharing a room or a bed with your other fisherwomen – please be prepared for that!
AIRPORTS + TRAVEL INFORMATION
The nearest airport is the Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco, Washington (PCS), which is about 50 miles from our Airbnb for the weekend. The second nearest airport is the Portland International Airport (PDX), which is about 160 miles from Airbnb. We recommend waiting to book your flights to be in sync with the other women attending to make traveling from the airport to the Airbnb easier. Prices at PDX are generally cheaper than flight prices at PCS. Tentatively plan to arrive sometime in the afternoon (around 4 P.M.) on Sunday, May 21st, and depart in the afternoon (around 3 P.M.) on Tuesday, May 23rd.
MEET THE COORDINATOR
Courtney will be your trip coordinator. She is from the small town of Lancaster, SC, just on the border of North Carolina. She was lucky enough to be introduced to whitetail hunting at a young age and fell in love with the outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoys hunting, fishing, and traveling to new places. This trip, Courtney is most looking forward to scratching a sturgeon off of her catch list, as well as meeting and uplifting like-minded women who enjoy exploring the outdoors!
This trip is going to be an action-packed weekend of chasing sturgeon & walleye in the waters of the Columbia River, and we hope you’ll join us! Please feel free to email questions@herwilderness.co with any questions about this trip!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN I ATTEND A TRIP BY MYSELF?
Yes! Many of our members attend Her Wilderness event by themselves, and leave feeling like they have made new life long friends. This is a huge part of why we do what we do. We highly encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, come meet some new women who love the same things you do.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO BRING ON A TRIP?
For each trip, we will create a private group with every member attending to use as the main form of communication. One week before the respective trip we will post in the individual trip’s Facebook group a “what to pack” list that will include information that we think will be helpful. Remember, this may not include everything you need for your specific style of hunting and fishing. It’s always a good idea to do your own research. We encourage you to reach out via email if you have any additional questions on what to bring. questions@herwilderness.co
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CAN’T ATTEND A TRIP OR EVENT?
By registering for a trip, you check that you understand that there are NO refunds on your deposit. We may be able to offer a partial refund on additional payments made if we fill your spot with another attendee and the trip is completely filled. Your deposit will not be refunded even if your spot is filled.
DO HER WILDERNESS TRIPS INCLUDE A TIP?
No. As of January 1st, 2022 we no longer include a tip to our guides on our trips. We don’t always know how each person is feeling towards their experience and we want everyone to be in control of what they tip. Please be prepared to bring additional funds to give your guides a tip!
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF A TRIP IS SOLD OUT?
JOIN OUR WAIT LIST! If a trip you’re interested in is sold out and you’d like to be placed on the wait list, email questions@herwilderness.co. We almost ALWAYS have last minute spots open, and being on the wait list is the best way to snag them before we post them on social media.
These are just a few frequently asked questions and we have many more located on our FAQ’s page. If you have never attended a trip with us before we highly recommend clicking the button below to gather more information before registering!
