TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are heading to Central Oregon, specifically to a smaller town, Madras, to harvest some pheasants and chukar. We will be accompanied by a guide and their dog through a habitat, which has weeds, cattails and natural grasses which makes for the perfect upland habitat. This trip will accommodate 5 women, giving everyone ample opportunity to harvest birds. A hunting preserve license will be needed when we arrive, approximately $15 for out of state residents. Plan to arrive at the ranch Friday evening, March 8. We will hunt both morning and evening on Saturday and Sunday. Plan to depart from the ranch on Sunday evening, March 10.
LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS + MISC. DETAILS
We will be staying in the bunkhouse at Rocker 3 Ranch. The bunkhouse is an open floor plan, which includes one room with 5 beds, 1 bathroom with a shower. There will be plenty of room for everyone to have their own bed. The ranch has everything we will need to cook our own dinner, including a grill. Also onsite is the “Bitterbrush Saloon,” where you will be able to wind down after a long day of hunting, all while enjoying the views of Central Oregon. We will be close to town as well (9 miles), where we can purchase food/drinks/snacks to bring to the lodge.
TARGET SPECIES, REGULATIONS AND PROCESSING OF TAXIDERMY OR MEAT HARVEST PLAN.
We are hunting Pheasants and Chukar. We will hunt Saturday morning for roosters, break for lunch and hunt for chukar in the evening. Sunday we will be hunting morning and evening again, roosters and chukar. Bird cleaning is included in the trip. Plan on transporting your meat back home. Mounting is always an option, in which we can secure your bird for a safe travel home. We will want to freeze your meat for the transport home. I recommended a small soft cooler and/or bags to place your meat in to prevent any leaking.

MEET YOUR COORDINATOR
AMANDA GREW UP DEER HUNTING AND TROUT FISHING IN WESTERN WASHINGTON WITH HER FATHER BY HER SIDE, TEACHING HER ALL OF THE ROPES. FOLLOWING HER FATHER’S FOOTSTEPS, SHE VENTURED INTO WATERFOWL HUNTING IN 2017, QUICKLY FINDING A PASSION FOR CUPPED WINGS AND QUALITY TIME IN THE BLIND. FAST FORWARD 3 YEARS, AMANDA STEPPED OUT OF HER COMFORT ZONE AND TRAVELED TO OREGON FOR HER FIRST ALL-LADIES WATERFOWL HUNT. AS NERVOUS AS SHE WAS, SHE CREATED LIFETIME FRIENDSHIPS AND MEMORIES. AMANDA HAS NOT ONCE REGRETTED STEPPING OUT OF HER COMFORT ZONE AND ORGANIZED HER FIRST ALL-WOMEN'S GOOSE HUNT AND SALMON TRIP IN 2022, IN BOTH WASHINGTON AND OREGON.
AMANDA DISCOVERED THAT THERE IS A LACK IF WOMEN IN THE OUTDOOR INDUSTRY AND WANTS TO BRING CONFIDENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND FRIENDSHIPS TO THE WOMEN OF THE OUTDOORS. BEING A PART OF HER WILDERNESS, AMANDA IS ALL ABOUT SHARING THE SAME PASSION FOR THE OUTDOORS WITH OTHER WOMEN. AMANDA WOULD LIKE TO HELP OTHER WOMEN STEP OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE, TRAVEL AND EXPLORE NEW ADVENTURES IN THE PRESENCE OF MULTIPLE LADIES.
AMANDA’S FIRST HER WILDERNESS TRIP WAS A SNOW GOOSE HUNT IN STUTTGART, ARKANSAS. ON THIS HUNT, SHE MET SO MANY FRIENDLY AND SUPPORTIVE WOMEN, WHO ENCOURAGED AMANDA TO JOIN HER WILDERNESS AS A COORDINATOR FOR WASHINGTON. YOU CAN FIND AMANDA IN THE DUCK BLIND, SEARCHING FOR TURKEYS & DEER OR EVEN CASTING A POLE IN THE WATER. AMANDA CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE NEW EXPERIENCES WITH YOU!
