Plan to arrive in the afternoon, around 12 P.M. CDT, on Friday, and departing in the afternoon, around 3 P.M. CDT, on Sunday.
TRIP DETAILS + INFORMATION
We are off to Breaux Bridge in southern Louisiana for our first adventure with our outfitter. Eight ladies will have the chance to do three days chasing after gators in the swamps of southern Louisiana. Plan to arrive around 12 P.M. CDT, on Friday for a meet and greet with your fellow hunters before we head out to bait our lines.
Saturday morning we will head out to check out lines, and hopefully get on some good gators! With this type of hunt, we never know what size gator we will come across until we get to the line. These gators can be anywhere from 7 foot to 12 foot, with our guides averaging 8’ 11” gators! After our morning line hunt, we will head back to our base camp for lunch and downtime, before getting back out on the water to reset our lines. Sunday we will wake up early to check our lines again, before departing mid-afternoon.
If you are intrigued by all that Louisiana has to offer, feel more than welcome to tack a couple extra days onto your trip before or after our hunting adventures! This trip includes two days of hunting, two nights of lodging in a houseboat, and all equipment needed to hunt. At our houseboat, it is likely you will have to share a room or bed with others on this trip. Please be prepared for that!
LICENSING + REGULATIONS
For this trip you will need a Louisiana Alligator Sport Hunter License. For residents the license cost is $25, and for non-residents the cost is $150.

Our base camp for the weekend will be a cozy houseboat at Cypress Cove Landing. These cozy house boats provide all the comfort of home, with the ultimate Louisiana experience. You may have to share a room or bed with your other hunters, please be prepared for that!

The nearest airport is the Lafayette Regional Airport, which is about 20 miles from our lodge for the weekend. The second nearest airport is Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, which is about 54 miles away from our lodge. We recommend waiting to book your flights to be in sync with the other women attending to make traveling from the airport to the lodge easier. Tentatively plan to arrive sometime in the afternoon (around 12 P.M. CDT) on Friday, September 22nd, and depart in the afternoon (around 3 P.M. CDT) on Sunday, September 24th.
MEET THE COORDINATOR
Courtney will be your trip coordinator. She is from the small town of Lancaster, SC, just on the border of North Carolina. She was lucky enough to be introduced to whitetail hunting at a young age and fell in love with the outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoys hunting, fishing, and traveling to new places. This trip, Courtney is most looking forward to scratching a gator off of her list, as well as meeting and uplifting like-minded women who enjoy the outdoors.
