Picture this: it’s a crisp November morning, you and 7 other girls are sitting in a blind watching the sunrise, preparing to check off another bucklist bird. We are headed back to infamous Stuttgart, Arkansas! Though it is known as the duck capital of the world it for sure does not fall short with Specklebelly geese! The abundant rice fields make Stuttgart the perfect honey hole for these beautiful birds. Specklebelly Geese, whose actual name is the Greater White-Fronted goose, get its name “Specklebelly” from the beautiful black-mottled bellies found on the adult birds. Along with their unique speckled bellies, these birds can also be distinguished by the call they make in flight. Their call is commonly described as a high pitched laugh, which gives them their other nickname of “Giggle Chickens”. Our hunts will be morning giving us the rest of the afternoon to head into town and shop at the well known Mack’s Prairie Wings, check out RNT Calls store, and grab a drink at Flying Duck Taproom.

Valid Arkansas Hunting License 5 Day Small Game
State Duck Stamp
HIP Registration
Shotgun: 20 or 12 gauge
Goose loads: 3 or 3.5 in (BB, BBB, or T shot)
Warm camouflage clothing
Sunglasses
Camera
Ice cooler if you would like to bring geesd home

Girls will be expected to carpool to and from hunting spots.
