SAVE YOUR SPOT

Did you know southern Indiana is home to some of the best bowfishing waters in the Midwest? Join us for a laid back yet adrenaline filled weekend targeting fish under the lights on the White River. This two night experience is perfect for women who want to try something new, sharpen their skills, or simply enjoy summer nights on the water with a supportive group.

Whether you are brand new to bowfishing or already comfortable with a bow, this trip is designed to be approachable, fun, and confidence building. Our experienced local guide will walk us through equipment, technique, and safety before we head out so everyone feels comfortable before arrows start flying.

This trip blends night fishing adventure with slow mornings, porch coffee, local exploring, and the kind of easy connection Her Wilderness trips are known for. Come ready for glowing water, fast shots, laughter, and stories you will be telling long after the weekend ends.

Trip Itinerary

Friday June 12

Arrive in Linton, Indiana by 4 PM and settle into our Airbnb. We will head into town for dinner at one of the local restaurants and spend the evening getting to know each other and easing into the weekend.

At approximately 8 30 PM, we will meet our guide at the chosen location. After getting familiar with our bows and setup, we will head out on the water for our first night of bowfishing. Plan to be out for at least five hours, enjoying prime nighttime conditions.

Saturday June 13

Saturday is intentionally flexible. Sleep in, enjoy a slow morning, or explore the area at your own pace. Options include local lakes, trails, coffee shops, greenhouses, thrift stores, and restaurants. Or you may choose to take an afternoon nap on the porch and soak in the slower pace before dinner.

At approximately 8 30 PM, we will head back out for our second and final night of bowfishing. This is our last opportunity on the water, so we will make it count.

Sunday June 14

We will pack up and say goodbye around 10 AM. If you are hungry before heading home, there are brunch options available in town for one last meal together.

Fishing License Requirement

All participants are required to have a valid Indiana freshwater fishing license.
The non resident option includes two one day licenses totaling thirty dollars.
Indiana residents may purchase an annual license for twenty three dollars.
Licenses can be purchased online prior to arrival.

Airport and Travel

This trip is a drive in destination. The nearest major airports are Indianapolis International Airport and Evansville Regional Airport. From either airport, participants can rent a vehicle and drive to Linton, Indiana. We recommend coordinating travel within the private trip group when possible to share rides and align arrival times. Additional travel guidance will be shared prior to the trip.

This is a small group Her Wilderness experience built around learning, trying something new, and enjoying summer nights outdoors with a supportive community of women. No bowfishing experience is required. If you have been curious about bowfishing and want a fun, low pressure introduction, this weekend is for you.
